Chapter 24:　Surprise Attacker

“Wh-what happen!?”

With that sudden attack, both Amyl and Claire were surprised while I was countering it.

“Over there!”

Lelena seems to have perceives where the people who did the surprise attack are at. When Claire looks there ready to shoot her arrows, the 3 good looking people that I had quarreled with before in the guild appears.

“Dammit! How can he detect our hiding!?”

The person cursed while readying his weapon. Oh come on, how are you going to sneak on me who has the Map skill?

“What hiding? I noticed from the very beginning. I’ve been watching you for some time now. You didn’t notice?”

I slowly turned my weapon, saying that while half-smiling.

Now is the time to reveal the tricks. Before we dive into the dungeon after receiving the request, I had asked the Merchant Guild to search for the Ogre’s nest. Since there’s a high chance that the people we’re argued with at the guild will try to interfere, I also paid to keep watch of them.

Since they always looks down on others with their showy equipment, it’s easy to keep track on these self-conscious people. And if we have to resolve to using force, I’ve also made a contract to have a witness. I’m sure that we  are currently being watched.

There’s a reason for the colored ribbon for the ogre’s nest. The blue one in the forest is for the ogre’s nest. The red one is to warn us that these guys are also lurking in the forest. Lelena seems to have noticed this precautions.

The handsome guy was biting his teeth when he heard my explanation. He should be frustrated. When they’re planning to steal the achievements of the Bronze-cla.s.s, they’re the one dancing in my palm instead.

“In that case if we also kill the witness there won’t be any problems. Do you think that you Bronze cla.s.s can defeat us?”

He declared that they will kill us while showing a dark smile. How stupid. In case that they were able to defeat us here, there’s no reason for the employed observer from the Merchant Guild to just wait there forever. There’s no way that the current us would be defeated by them though. It’s already checkmate for these guys the moment they attacked us.

“Who are you calling Bronze-cla.s.s? Don’t you understand anything when you look at our level?”

Do they doubt it I wonder, as the face of the handsome guy that confirmed our levels was warped in astonishment.

“Wh, how!? They’re only around Level 10 a while ago!”

“You’re kidding right!? there’s no way they could raise it up that much in such a short time!”

“Th-that’s right! They must have use something to trick us somehow!”

Geez. The situation won’t improve even if you deny the reality that happens in front of you. However I have no intentions of waiting for these guys to recover from the surprised state. I shoot fireball without chanting by working out the imagination.

“Uwa!”

But as expected of Silver-cla.s.s adventurers, they managed to avoid it even while being surprised. Once the heat wave from the flame cause the opposite side to scattered while frowning, we begin our attacks.

Claire and Lelena are facing the female wizard. Although the flame magic could be said to be able to kill Claire without letting them approach, as Claire was using her bow at the back, the female wizard can only go on the defense as Lelena attacks with her morning star.

The arrow shot by Claire hit and pierced the female wizard’s shoulder. As she screamed while dropping her cane, Lelena came charging with her whole body, directly hitting her from the side.
