With my newly acquired fire magic, I wanted to test how strong it was. I took position aiming at the river.

[Flame!]

Although i hesitated with what to chant, it seems to have come to me naturally. From my palm, flames were ejected. Though the flames disappeared after a few seconds, it was by no means lacking in heat. The range seems to be about 1 metre, i wonder if I can adjust the power?

This time I imagine a small flame. Then, a fire slightly bigger than that of a lighter appeared on the tip of my finger. It seems the power can be adjusted.

I was feeling a little tired, so I checked my MP. It seems to have decreased by about 6 points. So does one cast cost 3 points? If so, rapid fire may be a problem.

Next, I picture the image of a sphere. A ball of fire the size of a soccer ball appears in my palm. There doesn’t seem to be any consumption of MP in order to maintain it. I aimed at the calm water’s surface and threw it. It flew over the surface of the water at a considerable speed and then exploded. Water vapour and wind scatter, the speed seems comparable to that of a junior high baseball players throw.

Anyway, with this, i can see that magic is very versatile. I had also challenged and beaten the so called “Chant less casting”.

I managed to produce a fireball just by picturing it in my head.  I also tried to picture it flying, however it seemed to go out halfway through.

Though, I succeeded in doing it after several attempts, I don’t fully understand how it works. It seems like it won’t work if the image isn’t pictured clearly. Magic is easy if you have a good imagination.

I decided to take a rest as I had become a little tired. I pull out some dried meat from my bag and check my status whilst eating.

Is it because I’ve taken a rest? It seems like my MP has recovered a little. Apparently, it seems to recover as time pa.s.ses. Also, apparently I’ve gained the 『Chant less casting: Level 1』skill. If I raise this, maybe magic will be easier to picture.

Since my break was over, i decided to hunt the remaining red dots on the map.

The number of enemies near the hut seem to number 6 in total. I wanted to try flame magic in actual combat, however it was far too dangerous to use in a forest. So I decided to just use my dagger.

The red dots consisted of 3 red dogs and 3 slimes. After I had defeated them all, my level rose.
