”Director Zhao, what does CEO Xu wants from me now?”
Ren asked as he looked at Director Zhao. His hair was ruffled because he had just came back from Hongdian and his face has signs of tiredness.
Maybe, it was because of jet lag, but Ren really looked tired to Director Zhao.
”I would told you if I know. You know how the CEO is, but it must be something urgent that she called you straight from the airport.”
”Yeah, I hope it's not a bad news.”
”Don't worry. I don't think it's a bad news or she won't be like this. Just go in and finish the talk quickly.”
Director Zhao patted his shoulders and said. Honestly, he had an idea about what CEO Xu wanted to talk about with Ren, but he was silent as he wasn't sure.
He just hoped that Ren won't be overwhelmed.
”You are not coming with me?”
Ren asked with an awkward smile on his face. He was used to talking with CEO Xu, but the pressure that she gave always made him uncomfortable.
It was like she can see through his mind.
”She wants to talk to you alone.”
”Uh, can't I at least take White bear with me?”
Ren glanced at White bear who was standing besides him and asked. The expression on the face of White bear quickly changed when he heard that.
He quickly opened his mouth to speak.
”Me? I don't think I should go.”
”Why? Can't you accompany me there?”
”Uh...”
White bear scratched his cheeks hearing that. He was not willing to go with Ren because Jiang Wan has already filled his mind with all sorts of rumours about CEO Xu.
It was better to stay away from her.
”You are making it a big issue. Ren, just go in! You have been in CEO's office many times. Why are you even acting like this?”
Director Zhao said quickly, seeing the banter between Ren and White bear. They were just wasting time here.
”I just don't have a good feeling about this.”
”I don't think it's something bad, so just go in and come back quickly.”
Ren slowly nodded his head and sighed. He slapped his cheeks with both of his hands and took a deep breath.
”Huuh!”
'I really don't have a good feeling about this.'
He thought in his mind, but still moved towards CEO Xu's office. Standing in front of the door, he prepared his mind before knocking.
”Can I come-”
”Just come in!”
A voice came from the inside before he can even finish his sentence. It was a cold female voice that can send chills down anyone's spine.
Ren recognised the voice well and entered the room.
An exquisite room that a normal person would only see in a drama or a movie was in front of him.
There was a expensive looking sofa and a coffee table placed in one of the corners of the room.
Ren glanced at this room that he was seeing after months for sometime before moving his gaze up to the executive table and chair that was placed in front of the large window.
On top of the leather chair, a woman with graceful features, white akin and a cold face was sitting.
She was CEO Xu!
”It's been sometime since we have last talked.”
”Yeah, it's been more than three months.”
Ren sat down in front of CEO Xu and greeted her. He has known this woman for almost two years now, but she still looked the same.
This made him remember one of the nicknames she had in the company - 'Witch!'.
”How you have been?”
