”You have already apologized more than 10 times. So, it's fine.”
Director Zhao said as he waived his hand but Lily's head was still in a bowing position.
She was apologizing continuously for the last 30 minutes. Director Zhao had already forgiven her but Lily just kept on apologizing.
'She's too nervous.'
Ren thought in his head.
Normally, Lily would be cheerful and eccentric but today, she was the complete opposite of that. She was nervous and scared instead of someone who will always have a smile on her face.
The reason behind it was also simple.
She was worried about how the meeting would go. That was making her more and more nervous every second.
'The talk will never start like this.'
The members of Starlights, Ren and Director Zhao have already moved to his office to have a talk about the song.
But with Lily like this, they can't start the talk.
”Lily.”
”Yes, I'm sorry.”
”The talk will never start if you keep being like this.”

Lily finally got some composure when she heard Ren's words. A slight blush appeared on her face when she realised how she had made a fool of herself.
To calm down, she took deep breaths and eventually, she managed to calm down.
”Let's start the talk, if you are ready?”
”Yes.”
Lily was still nervous but she can at least talk now. Director Zhao also has other work to do. So, he quickly started the talk.
”I heard the guided version. Your voice was good in it and the melody was good too. As for the song….”
”How was it?”
”Honestly, it wasn't that bad. I would even say that it was good. It can easily qualify as a song in an album and I'm pretty sure that it will become a hit.”
A smile broke out on the face of Lily when she heard that. Her band members who were nervous, sitting in the big office were the same.
They all have slight smiles on their faces, but Director Zhao's next words were enough to change those smiles into frowns.
”But it will only become a hit song, if a famous singer or a girl group sings it.”
Director Zhao was practically saying that the song was good but the band which was going to play the song was not good enough.
”What do you mean?”
”I'm just saying that a song's success highly depends on the artist singing it. Even if you sing this song, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be a hit.”
”We know that but it's our song.”
Lily said in a slightly raised voice.
”I'm not saying to sell this song or something. I'm just telling you about the chances of it being a success. In the first place, your band is independent. Without a sufficient backing, no one can become famous in the industry.”
Those words were harsh but they were also the sheer truth. In today's entertainment industry, no celebrity has become famous without their agency working in the back.
Backing was necessary for everything.
Moreover, Starlights was a band which was independent. It means that it was not under any agency.
There were many reasons behind this, but the main reason was that no agency will try to invest their money on a band.
Girl group and boy group was the way to go in the current industry.
Bands were considered as a gourmet existence. Some people even say that they are the things of the past.
It was also true to some extent!!
