Chapter 51. Audition
”Are you nervous, Ren?”
White bear asked Ren as they exited the van. They were currently at the Arc production office, ready to give the audition.
Two days ago, Arc production had contacted them for a audition and they had settled the audition for today.
”No, more than nervousness. I am feeling excitement.”
”It's good then but you have memorised the lines, right.”
”Don't worry about it.”
For the past few days, Ren was trying to act out the scenes in the screenplay. He had constantly acted out the scenes and memorised the lines.
Although he was tired, not a ounce of tiredness could be seen on his face, instead he was too excited for the audition.
”Let's go in.”
The audition was on the second floor, so they had to take the elevator to go there.
As soon as they walked out of the elevator, they moved to the audition room.
As soon as Ren entered the room, he was greeted by various faces.
There was Zhu Yi, the person who was going to direct the drama, Director Fu and the CEO of Arc production, CEO Wang.
”Hello, I am Xin Ren. It's nice to meet you.”
”Hello, my name is Dong Shu, I am Ren's manager.”
Ren and White bear introduced themselves to the people in the room.
”Hello, we were waiting for you. Let's go to the inner room, that's where the audition would be held.”
They were greeted back by a man with glasses. He was one of the producers.
After some greeting, Ren and White bear followed him to the inner room.
Of course CEO Wang, Zhu Yi and Director Fu also followed after them.
As they were walking towards the room, Ren felt that many gazes were on him. Many people were trying to evaluate him.
Although there were many gazes on him, he didn't show it on his face and just walked calmly.
”You have memorised your script, right.”
The producer who had led him to the room asked and Ren replied while nodding his head.
”Yeah, I have already memorised it.”
”Then it's good. We will tell you to do a scene and evaluate you on it. Are you fine with it?”
Director Fu said and Ren nodded. He also don't have any choice but to go with the director's decision.
”Okay, your scene would be episode 1, scene 26. Can you do it?”
Director Fu said while flipping the pages of the script and Ren was surprised when he heard that.
It was not because he hasn't memorised it yet or anything, it was because the scene Director Fu was mentioning was a one-man act.
Meaning that Ren have to do this scene alone. He has no counterpart to act the role with.
”Director, don't you think it's excessive to start with that scene. I think we should start with something easier.”
Zhu Yi said as she whispered into Director Fu's ear. She was worried that Ren would not be able to do this scene as it was a important and hard scene.
