Chapter 32. Interview
”Ren, I am getting nervous.”
White bear said to Ren. His face was nervous and even his fingers were shaking.
”Why are you so nervous when I am the one giving the interview?”
Ren questioned him as he stared at him. They were currently inside a small room waiting for the interview to commence.
Ren was somewhat nervous about it since it was his first interview but White bear was more nervous than him.
”It's not that. I am just worried about the reporter, Hou Fang. He's a senior reporter who had written countless articles. If you just slip up a bit, he can write a proactive article and then…”
White bear didn't have to finish his entire sentence as Ren already know what would happen if a proactive article about him really published.
The situation would be dire then, he has just started gaining popularity. A proactive article will harm his career in more than one way.
”I will be careful. Don't worry, I have revised the documents Chief Jiang had given me. I will be fine.”
”It will be good if all the things go well.”
”Yeah.”
Shortly after that, Both of them were led to the interview room where Hou Fang was already waiting for him.
”Hello, nice to meet you.”

Hou Fang was a middle aged man who looked to be in his 40s. Ren had heard quite a lot about him.
He was someone who is interviewing celebrities for more than a decade. He looked amiable at first but he was a cunning man who will not care about writing a proactive article about a rookie.
After some brief greeting, Ren and White bear took their respective seats and the interview started.
”So, how are you feeling sitting here? You must be nervous since it's your first interview.”
The first question was a generic question and Ren easily answered it.
After that, Hou Fang kept asking him questions like 'How did you get the role?' or 'What are your thoughts on the movie?'.
They were easy to answer as Ren had practised them before. He didn't have much difficulty in answering them.
After some questions, Hou Fang finally asked a strange question.
”You know Chu Min way before this movie, right. Can you tell me more about how you met?”
”Well, actually I met him when after I started doing theatre. He was a senior back then and we got along pretty well. That's how our friendship started.”
Ren answered it perfectly. He didn't give any misleading comments and just kept it simple.
”Yeah, your chemistry in the movie was great too, especially the last scene. Although it was great, I found some comments about it on the internet. Can I read them for you?”
”....Sure.”
Ren felt that it was strange and looked towards White bear but his face was also blank. He could only continue the interview.
”A anonymous user wrote 'I bet he was only able to get that role because of his relationship with Chu Min. He is just a second rate actor'. What do you want to say about it?”
'Here it comes!!'
Ren thoughts were in a mess when he heard that question. He knew that if he answered wrongly, Hou Fang can make it into a controversy.
Hou Fang had asked this question to anger him. He was thinking that Ren would make a mistake in anger but Ren was not short tempered.
He took a deep breath and decided to answer the question calmly.
