Another World’s Savior Chapter 7
CHAPTER 7: MONSTER EXTERMINATION
Edited by Nexias
Hmm… what should I do?
I could vaguely hear the distinct sounds of the river, but it was unlikely for me to return to the village within an acceptable time if I did decide to go.
「Should I just take a stroll in the forest and stay within the immediate area of the village?」
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
B-bad, this is definitely bad!
There’s a monster bear standing not too far away in front of me.
It’s about 4-5m, and is looking at me with the eyes of a predator that just trapped its prey.
A darkish-red coat of fur covers the entirety of it’s body, reminiscent of the colour of blood.
The bear’s claws are definitely too sharp! One blow from those things would definitely be dangerously deadly.
Without the minuscule guidance granted by the slivers of light from the moon, I might have been eaten without myself even noticing it!
H-hey!… If you look properly, it’s mouth and the surrounding fur on it’s face was drenched in liquid red, the blood of a recent successful hunt.
I spot a mangled corpse, not too far away next to the bear. It vaguely resembled some sort of short humanoid figure… Was that guy a goblin in the ground?
Well, even if my a.s.sumption was correct, I’m pretty sure everyone else wouldn’t even dare to look at the remains for too long, more so come to the conclusion to what it was.
Then, wouldn’t the current situation go something like this?
The bear was probably eating and enjoying it’s food when I accidentally stumbled across it. After the short encounter, the bear must have thought that I was here to steal his prey or something… At least, that’s the most logical outcome.
If my hypothesis is true though, those primal thoughts from the monster bear definitely raised a few danger flags.
In the middle of my a.s.sessment, the monster spontaneously erupted from it’s position and swiped down with it’s razor sharp claws.
Acting by pure instincts, I was barely able to avoid and sidestep the attack.
