He reached out to tap her nose affectionately and asked in a low voice, “Did you have enough to eat today?”

Nodding immediately, she said, “I’m stuffed! I won’t mistreat myself. Besides, the food today was really yummy!”

He halted and looked down at the screen. It was his mother, Yao Lili.

He answered, “That’s right.”

“Fine, I want you to bring her home today.”

Mo Xicheng paused and asked, “Mom, what’s up?”

“Can’t I meet her for no reason? Or is it that she’s the Shi family’s precious daughter, so I can’t meet her? You’re already engaged, is there a problem for us to meet?”

She was making things difficult. Mo Xicheng frowned and replied, “If that’s your attitude, I’m not bringing her home.”
