Chapter 767 - He Is Soul Fighter (1) (1/2)
Qiao Lian turned around with curiosity as the captain rushed towards her.
He seemed a little nervous about Shen Liangchuan and didn’t dare to look at the man. Instead, he focused on Qiao Lian.
Puzzled, she asked, “What’s the matter, Captain?”
The captain scratched his head and said, “Actually, I know I shouldn’t be asking you this, but I do feel that apart from you, probably no one would know.”
He was going round and round, so Qiao Lian got more and more puzzled. “What is it exactly?”
The captain sneaked a glance at Shen Liangchuan and then ventured, “So…. do you remember Soul Fighter from our competitive team?”
Qiao Lian paused and said, “Of course.”
At the time, Soul Fighter, Zi Chuan and her had been the closest friends in the team.
Zi Chuan was very familiar with the games’ strategies and sometimes, in a match no one could catch up with his pace.
In the end, Zi Chuan had trained her as well as another fighter.
And the three of them were considered the solid anchors of the game.
Zi Chuan and her were a couple, so Soul Fighter self-proclaimed himself the Third Wheel.
Back then, the three of them frequently played together and often called each other.
It was only later on, when she and Zi Chuan planned to meet and Zi Chuan missed the appointment, that all of them lost contact with each other. Zi Chuan had disappeared from the game, so she never did log into her account again.
She looked at the captain with a puzzled expression and asked, “Why? What’s wrong?”
The captain sighed, frowned and said, “Soul Fighter is from Beijing too, isn’t he? That first year, he said he would come for the gathering but he didn’t turn up. In the end, Zi Chuan died and you stopped logging into your account. He disappeared around that time too.”
“I’m thinking that because he was impacted by what happened to Zi Chuan, he stopped playing.”
“I was on very good terms with Soul Fighter at the time, so I wanted to get some clarity on this. After all, we were all in the game together for three years, and I’d consider us all good friends.”
“This guy really caused me grief for disappearing on us like that.”
