-32 Chapter 84: Voodoo Doll (1/2)

The next morning, when Yi Fei reached her table, she saw a beautiful pink box on her table. It was identical to the box sent by Wu Chen last time when he sent Lay, the Unicorn plush toy. Yi Fei smiled giddily while trying to guess what's inside the box.

”Arghhhh…”Yi Fei took a step back. It was early in the morning so there were not many of her colleagues in the staffroom. Yi Fei was the only one in the English Language Department cubicle.

A few female teachers who were older than Yi Fei came to see what was wrong with her. Yi Fei didn't say anything; she only pointed to the pink box on her table. Her colleagues rushed to see whatever inside the box that made Yi Fei screamed.

A gasp could be heard after they went to see inside the box. A male colleague went to see what's inside the box as well and bravely taking out the things that made people gasped.

It was a rag doll that resembled Yi Fei. Red colour, probably blood, was splattered all over the body of the doll; it looked terrifying and smelt disgusting. There were a few pins inserted into the effigy.

Yi Fei knew what it was. She used to watch horror anime when she was studying in the university. One of her favourites was Ghost Hunt and from the anime, she came to know about ghost hunting and the voodoo doll.

The one sent to her was, most probably, a voodoo doll. Voodoo doll was used for cursing; she wondered who she angered to trigger that person to curse her with such scary method.

Her male colleague took out a sheet of paper from the box. ”s.l.u.t” was written boldly by using a red liquid or blood. It was the same one as the one she received previously.

There was a moment of silence. n.o.body talked or reacted because all of these were new to them. Yi Fei thought that this kind of things only happened in the movie; she did not expect to experience this kind of thing too.

”Why are you all quiet? What happen?” Bai Jing Ting came and everyone returned back to reality. The male colleague showed him the rag doll and the note written in blood. Bai Jing Ting frowned upon seeing those disgusting things.

”Fei Fei, I think you should make a police report about this” Bai Jing Ting approached Yi Fei who was standing a few steps away from her table.

Yi Fei was too much in a daze that she didn't really listen to what Bai Jing Ting spoke to her. She nodded absentmindedly before pulling her chairs and sat far away from the box.

The crowd shot her a look of sympathy and dispersed after they spoke a few sentences to comfort her. Bai Jing Ting patted her head and offer words to caution about the box. Yi Fei nodded quickly.

After everyone was gone, Yi Fei got close to the box and snapped a few pictures of the rag doll and the note. She was contemplating whether she should send the pictures to Wu Chen or not.

In the novel that she had read, misunderstanding always happens because one side decided to keep a secret from their partner. Yi Fei was not stupid and she did not want to make the same mistakes as those characters in the novel so she pressed send.

A few seconds later, Wu Chen called Yi Fei.
