-68 Chapter 48: Celebration Party (1/2)

”Fei Fei, come to sit here. You need to eat so that you could admire the view more” Wu Chen raised his hand and two waiters came to him. The waiters set up the table.

Yi Fei came to the table and saw that the waiters put beef tenderloin steak and red wine on the table. Her eyes brighten up when she sees the red wine.

”We are not eating spicy poached fish?” Yi Fei thought that Wu Chen wanted to eat spicy poached fish.

”We will. You are going to cook it for me. Remember your words on the phone a few days ago?” He wanted to remind Yi Fei of her own words over the phone last time.

”I did?” Yi Fei was speaking as if she was shocked to hear it.

”Yes, you did” Wu Chen replied matter-of-factly.

”How come I did not know this?” Yi Fei was talking in a high pitch voice as if she did not know anything about it.

Wu Chen sighed. He knew that the lady in front of him was trying to run from her responsibility but thanks to Wu Chen good memory, he won't let her go. ”If I'm not mistaken, someone said 'this sister will cook for you every weekend for a month'” Wu Chen mimicked the way Yi Fei talked that day.

Yi Fei was quiet for some time. It was true that she did say that to Wu Chen but she was just joking at that time because she did not expect Wu Chen to return to City L. She looked at the man in front of her; the man had a cunning smile. For some reasons, Yi Fei felt as if she was deceived by Wu Chen. She couldn't pinpoint the exact act but she felt as if Wu Chen had deceived her to say that last time.

”Okay, this sister here never broke her promise” She patted her chest and then she sat on the chairs.

Upon seating, Yi Fei placed the napkin on her lap immediately. She waited until the waiters had finished serving then only she took her knife and fork and began eating after that. Wu Chen was pleased to see Yi Fei's table manners. He felt that the lady in front of him really deserved to be his partner in life.

”Oh before I forgot, my friend is coming this Sat.u.r.day. I don't think you can cook for me at my house at that time so you could start next week” Wu Chen began eating his steak. Yi Fei who was trying to cut her steak stopped halfway.

An idea came to Yi Fei. Her head rose up to meet Wu Chen's elegant-eating-face. She had a mischievous and smug smile on her face.

Wu Chen had a bad premonition. He knew this kind of face. Yi Fei made this face once and the problem followed after that. He was thinking hard and then he remembered - the day at the supermarket.

”What naughty things are you planning to do?” Wu Chen asked casually.

Making an innocent face, Yi Fei acted as if she did not know what Wu Chen was talking about. ”What are you talking about? I don't plan anything ar… Why are you accusing me? I only want to suggest something” Yi Fei continued cutting her steak with a creepy smug smile on her face.

”No. No. No. Don't make that face. I know you are up to something not good when you make that face” Wu Chen spoke sternly to warn Yi Fei.

Yi Fei ate her steak before saying -

”Chen Chen, have you not heard the saying 'when your good friend come to you, you should welcome him with a celebration party?” Yi Fei was smiling even wider by now. She was trying to smile sweetly but from Wu Chen's point of view, her smile looked creepy.
