“Go, you guys”

The Opus Killers start to moves from Nero’s instruction. Don’t kill too muchー. It’ll be a pain if the number of living soldiers are too few as well.

And then, as one would expect, because of the sound from the destruction of the door, soldiers come from within the castle. Oh my, we are pincered.

“Wha, what is with this monster!?”

“Don’t falter, you guys! Right now when the General is not around, it is our duty to protect the capital! Commence attack!”

The soldiers who appeared are releasing magic towards the Opus Killers. As I thought, the majority of the magic that is being released is fire magic. Since they will use it if they know that those are dead spirit type monsters. However, there’s no way I don’t have a counter-measure for that, right?

Buried within the Opus Killers’ body is something called Magic Absorption Crystal. It is something that Chrono made using the man-made Magic Crystal that is created by my magic power. It uses the Soul Absorption Necklace that Chrono initially made as a reference.

Magic Absorption Crystal is a crystal that absorbs magic as its name suggests, it absorbs the magic power that comes in contact with the one who’s equipping it regardless of whether it’s on the inside or outside.

However, not surprisingly, it has a demerit. That is, it also absorbs the magic power of the one who equips it. Hence, the one who equips it can’t release magic and their magic power also get absorbs when they are equipping it.

The Opus Killers before my eyes are also being absorbed presently. These guys, because they will return back to corpses if they run out of magic power, we need to make a certain amount of progress before that happens. The Magic Absorption Crystal is convenient on the defensive aspect but, the room for improvement is large.

However, it’s usable even if we take that into account, it has nothing to do with the Opus Killers who couldn’t use magic from the start. Their strengths are, the defensive capability that receives almost no physical attack and, the offensive capability that smashes everything.

Even now, they are attacking the soldiers. If they were punched by such physical strength, even soldiers who are wearing armour can’t endure it. Aa, that’s right. Let’s use them as well.

“Nero, let’s use those guys. Alright, Mylene?”

“I do not mind. As per Hardt-sama’s will”

I see Mylene’s nod and give Nero the instructions once again. Nero gives off an atmosphere like he’s grinning broadly and……he sets his hands on the ground. And then, when he pours magic power in, new servants appear from the ground.

What appeared were four monsters. The first is a monster that is dyed in red through its whole body. The second is a headless giant. The third is a woman with her eyes and mouth sewed shut. And the fourth is a zombie that has its right arm unified with a sword.

These guys are, Mylene’s former comrade and the A-Rank adventurer. That time after they were killed, I modified and made them my subordinates.

The leader-looking fellow who verbally abused Mylene was, turned into a superior type of zombie, a Crimson Reaper that possesses sharp claws and poison.

The fellow who held the s.h.i.+eld was, turned into a race that’s close to Liscia, a Giant Dullahan.

The woman who begged Mylene for her life was, turned into a monster that place curses, a Curse Enchantress.

The remaining A-Rank adventurer was, turned into a Zombie Soldier that has its right arm fused with the wind magic sword.

Each one of them became powerful new servants. I thought, ‘Does Mylene feel anything about it?’ but, envious of how they can be useful to me, she was being jealous of them. Cute. Mylene is being useful just by being by my side. As a being who heals me who possesses such a finely split and frayed heart.

“Go”

Crimson Reaper and Zombie Soldier who starts running at Nero’s instruction. Giant Dullahan stands to protect Curse Enchantress, from the mouth that should’ve been sewed, Curse Enchantress recites chants of curses.

“S, so fast!? De, defens, gya!”
