A female who’s wearing a black habit appeared before us. I stiffened slightly because her outfit and expression were different from before but, it’s undoubtedly her. The precious comrade who we were searching for.

“Mylene……is it Mylene!?”

Marie shouts as she’s about to rush out but, Gand holds onto her from behind. Marie yells at Gand but, Gand did the right thing.

It’s true that the one over there is Mylene. I know because she’s the comrade who fought together with us for several years. I know but, somehow she looks strange.

Besides, the magic just now, the barrier and the bombardment of light. Both of it is the magic that Mylene has used. The magic she always used when she’s fighting alongside us……she released that towards us. Perchance she may have also been brainwashed like the townfolks.

“Your comrades are calling, you know? Is it fine to not answer them?”

I was looking at such her and, the person wearing a robe who’s beside Mylene speaks to her. It’s like an emotionless, inhuman voice. I hear that from within the robe. I want to immediately hack down the robed fellow but, I worry for Mylene who’s by his side. And then

“……It has been a while huh, everybody”

Mylene who lets out a smile to us that isn’t different from before. My head is filled with the happiness that she’s still alive and, the question of why she’s able to move freely beside that robed figure.

The townfolks who were brainwashed attacked us without any self-awareness but, she has self-awareness. The townfolks go on with their lives as usual when they have self-awareness and they attack us like right now when they lose their self-awareness but, the Mylene now has totally no indication of that. Even though there’s none, she came and attacked us. Is she not brainwashed?

“Mylene, we came to save you! Let’s hurry up and go back!”

“That’s right, Mylene. Besides, what’s with that appearance. It’s the first time I saw something like that black habit?”

Marie and Gand talk to Mylene but, Mylene remained silent. And then, she turns her hand towards Marie and Gand as it is……this is bad!

“Gand, prepare your s.h.i.+eld!”

“Wha? Tsk!”

“Holy Bullet”

Bullets of light release from Mylene’s hand. Gand prepares his s.h.i.+eld the instant he embraces Marie but, they were sent flying because of his bad posture.

“Wh, what are you doing, Mylene! Attacking your comrades!”

“I’m sorry, Lynk. But, this is the only way to save me”

“……What do you mean?”

“It’s simple. I’m just killing you guys so that I can live”

Mylene’s killing intent swells up when she says that……is she for real!?
