IMPORTANT: ‘Spirits of the dead’ has now been changed to ‘Ghost’

The Contaminated Village

“……Stella, did you realize?”

“Ee, that’s too dangerous”

Its atmosphere is obviously different from the zombies that we were fighting until just now. Its entire body dyed red like in blood, sharp long nails. The zombies that newly appear staggers onwards but, when they see us, they started running towards us.

We, all hurriedly stood up and wield our weapons. The red zombie, a.s.sault one of Regul’s followers who were close by. The follower thrust his sword out towards the zombie that tries to grab him but, the red zombie with its quick movements, dodged the follower’s sword.

Then, it grabbed the follower’s arm. The pain of the long nails digging into the follower’s arm caused him show an opening and, the red zombie bit into his neck.

“You!!”

Because one of his followers got done in, Regul got angry and head towards the red zombie. Everybody else also followed Regul but, if you rush in so easily!

“Oraa!”

Regul thrust his s.h.i.+eld out to block the red zombie’s sight but, the red zombie struck against the s.h.i.+eld. When Regul’s s.h.i.+eld and the red zombie’s fist clashed, one side got outpushed and repelled.

The side that lost was……Regul. At the Regul whose s.h.i.+eld has been repelled and wide open, the zombie begins striking again. If he got hit by such an attack, Regul will!

I release a light bullet in order to save Regul. The zombie should flinch if this. .h.i.ts. That is what I thought but, the red zombie knew that my light bullet was closing in and, moved away from Regul and dodged it.

It’s frustrating that my attack didn’t land but, I’ll be satisfied with being able to even just separate the zombie from Regul.

Lig approach the red zombie during that time. Perhaps because the red zombie couldn’t ignore Lig, it looked at Lig’s movements.

Lig swings the s.h.i.+ning sword up from the bottom. The red zombie repels it to the side with its left hand but, the point that came in contact with the light let out a sound as it melted.

Lig swings his sword to the side as it is and, the red zombie received the sword with its nails. They remain that way and the two glare at each other. To think that it’s competing in strength with that Lig.

He holds his sword with both hands and pus.h.i.+ng it in but, the red zombie doesn’t back down. Not only did it not back down, it took a step forward as though going for another attack.

Then, the cheeks inflated. Don’t tell me!, the moment I thought that, the zombie spit something out from its mouth. I shouted out ‘Dangerous!’ but, perhaps Lig also foresaw it after looking at the inflation, he gave up competing, and moved away from the zombie.

The thing the zombie spat out landed on the ground and, smoke formed with a sound. The ground is melting?

“Gaaa!?”

When everybody was getting distracted by the thing the zombie spat out, Lig’s scream could be heard. Looking at the direction of the voice, the red zombie that has lost an arm has struck Lig’s body.

I ask the surroundings what exactly happened in that single moment and, one person who saw that spectacle told me. It seems that Lig has taken some distance but, the red zombie approaches as though chasing him.

There, Lig swung his sword down as a counter and, he was able to cut the arm of the red zombie couldn’t react and dodge fully in time off, is how it seems but. Looking at the spectacle now, it is clear that that isn’t the case.
