She released her grip and the phone fell to the ground. Liu Zhao’s heart ached when she saw this.
However, Li Zixia did not care about the phone at all. Instead, she pounced on Xie Yingying’s bed.
Xie Yingying was sleeping on the top bunk when she turned around and saw Li Zixia’s head on the pillow. She was shocked and sat up immediately. She hugged the blanket and leaned against the wall behind her. “What are you doing?”
She scared her to death!
Li Zixia’s eyes were s.h.i.+ning like that of a wolf that had seen food. She stared at Xie Yingying. “Xue Xi really scored full marks in the college entrance examination? My G.o.d, this is too unbelievable. Didn’t she partic.i.p.ate in the IMO?”

Ever since they’d left the Xue family, Xue Sheng and Ye Li had become more lively, as though they had released their natural instincts.
Xue Xi silently looked at him and did not speak.
Xue Sheng could not help but sigh. “Yesterday, I said that I would send you to school, but you refused. Today, I’ve finally gotten a kick out of being a parent!”
After saying this, he said, “Dad booked a Sichuan Cuisine restaurant beside your school. After we’re done eating, I’ll send you back. By the way, how’s the school?”
While Xue Xi and Xue Sheng were chatting, they saw Ye Li laughing at the side.
Both of them turned their heads.
It was only after ten seconds of silence in the car that Ye Li realized that something was amiss. She lifted her gaze from her phone and WeChat to look at the two of them and asked in confusion, “What’s wrong?”

Xue Sheng: “… What are you laughing at?”
“Oh,” Ye Li replied. She then raised her phone and said, “I’m chatting with Ah Jing!”
Xue Sheng’s face darkened when he heard this form of address. He immediately complained to Xue Xi, “Xixi, you should speak to your mother when you’re free. She used to follow you around every day when you were at home, but I tolerated it even though she neglected me. However, after you left yesterday, she never let go of her phone and kept chatting. She even ignored me when I spoke to her! That’s too much! If I didn’t know who this Lin Jing was, I would have suspected that your mother had a gigolo!”
When Lin Jing was mentioned previously, everyone had found it unbelievable. Why would such a big shot rush to chat with them? However, after they got used to it, Xue Sheng had started to dislike it.
