Chapter 53 - You Refreshed My Outlook On The World, Indeed (2/2)
Holding her temper, she picked up her bag, walked to the door, and said to Shen Mochen, “Sorry. I am busy now. Please, leave.”
Shen Mochen glanced at the football on the sofa, took out two 100 from his wallet, and put them on the table.
Shui Miaomiao watched him pick up the football and held it in his hand.
Her brain burst. Her eyes watered, and she was distressed.
She had bought this rugby ball for $40 while watching the New England patriots. The main point was she had shown many flirting winks until her eyes were numb just to get Tom Brandy’s signature.
It was hard to buy it with even 1,000 RMB again.
Shui Miaomiao felt that she had shot herself in the foot.
Shen Mochen looked at Shui Miaomiao. He raised the edge of his lips and asked, “What is the matter? Can’t bear to give it up?”
“The main point is my…. My husband likes it. If I sell it for no reason, he will blame me,” said Shui Miaomiao with a smile as she stared at the rugby ball.
She was hoping he would do a good deed, giving it up.
“It doesn’t matter. Anyway, your husband is big-hearted. It is not a big deal, you could just buy a new one for him in Taobao again,” said Shen Mochen without the slightest pity as she walked out of the door.
Shui Miaomiao frowned. She felt as if a dozen llamas were stepping on her heart–she could just keep quiet and could not express her sadness.
“Shall I take you to the Heston Hotel?” asked Shen Mochen, leering at Shui Miaomiao.
“It’s okay, I have other things to do before I go,” Shui Miaomiao forced out a smile. Her smile was obviously not sincere. She was looking at the football with reluctance. Then she lowered her eyelids.
Shen Mochen took the ball calmly. He threw it on the back seat of his car and drove away.
