Chapter 23 (2/2)
Shui Miaomiao went in. She wanted to sit next to Shen Mochen’s assistant at first, which seemed like less pressure.
However, the assistant’s gaze met Shen Mochen’s deep eyes.
A faint smile that seemed to be unfriendly was shown on his face. It was calm with an arrogant aura, making others have to yield to the atmosphere.
Shui Miaomiao recalled what he said. Perform well.
She was so numb that she could only sit next to him obediently.
Shen Mochen smiled and seemed satisfied with her choice of place. He took the wine in the middle of the table, leaned over, and poured some into her glass.
He was very close to her.
She could see the perfect outline of his face at a 45-degree angle.
He didn’t seem to smoke cigarettes. So, he had a crisp and refreshing scent like the sun shining on the grass.
The fingers holding the wine bottle were perfectly built and elegant.
Shui Miaomiao could not help thinking of that night.
That man had a pair of fingers that could make a woman go crazy and lead her to the highest peak.
Shui Miaomiao blushed.
“What are you thinking about?” asked Shen Mochen, leering at her.
Shui Miaomiao cleared her throat. She couldn’t just say she was thinking about the unique function of his fingers.
She looked at him and saw he was x-raying her, and her mouth went dry. She took the wine he poured and swallowed it in one gulp. After calming down, she said, “Nothing.”
“Heh,” Shen Mochen chuckled and put his right hand behind her chair, his body naturally leaning closer to hers.
Shui Miaomiao felt his breath was too close as if he was trying to gather her up into him. It was cramped. She moved her butt a little, moving her body a little forward.
But she still could feel that doughty aura of Shen Mochen, mastering the momentum of the whole meal.
The big boss was the first to speak. He smiled and raised his glass to Shen Mochen, “President Shen, I will toast this glass for you, and thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to attend this dinner.”
“You are welcome,” replied Shen Mochen simply, as he elegantly held the bottom of the glass, and drank a small sip from it.
