Shui Miaomiao paused for a moment as an idea popped into her mind. She tilted her head slightly and asked tentatively, “Have you ever been to the United States?”

“The United States?” Shen Mochen raised his eyebrows. A glimpse of light flashed through his deep eyes. He stared into her bright eyes and asked, “Have you been to the United States?”

“Ah? Heh heh.” Shui Miaomiao scratched her head and laughed hollowly.

How could she be so stupid and dig her own grave first? What if it really was him? What would happen if he wanted custody of her son after he found out about him?

“How could I have been to America? That’s the kind of place that only a rich kid like you can go to,” Shui Miaomiao said as she found a random reason to change the subject.

“Heh.” Shen Mochen chuckled lightly and continued walking.

Shui Miaomiao’s smile froze, and she frowned slightly. She did not know why but she always felt his chuckles were sarcastic and had a sense of denial. Or was she thinking too much?

Shui Miaomiao followed him to Lot 201 of Building No.26. There was a huge contrast between the gorgeous interior of his house and the shabby exterior of the building.

Inside, the house was very large with beautiful wallpaper, magnificent crystal lights, and a mahogany floor. There was a furry Persian rug, spacious blue and white sofas, and a 72″ HD TV with home theater equipment.

Next to the TV, there was a bookshelf, where a dense collection of books could be seen through the glass partition. Beneath the bookshelves were two blue-and-white porcelain vases and some small pieces of artwork.

Opposite the bookshelf was a bar, with a lot of wine arranged behind it.

She could see that he was a man with good taste who enjoyed the finer things in life.

While Shui Miaomiao looked around the house, Shen Mochen came out from one of the rooms and threw the clothes in his hand toward Shui Miaomiao.

Shui Miaomiao subconsciously caught them.

Shen Mochen leaned lazily on the bar and looked at her as he said, “Put on my shirt first. The underwear is new and has never been worn. The room with the vermilion door frame is the bathroom. You can take a shower there.”

Shui Miaomiao stood awkwardly.
