41 No Problem (1/2)
Night and Fayla kept fighting with their large scale magic for at least half an hour. It was also around the time Arima threw Karma into the sea.
Fayla had some injuries and burns but she was still better than Night who had a huge cut on his shoulder and chest because of the trident. The latter's fire dragon already had shrunk by more than half.
Night controlled his ragged breath and looked calmly at Fayla. He began to take a huge breath, his chest started to swell and the lines on his body glowed one more time. The huge fire dragon became a tourbillon of fire that was siphoned by Night.
Fayla's eyes narrowed, the trident hovering around her began to spin like a whirlwind in front of her, the spinning created some blue lines on mid-air. Soon, the trident had created a magic circle and was already working on a second layer.
”[Ut incenderent Aeternitatis] (Burn for Eternity)” Night gulped the last flame and chanted, his eyes glowed red, sparks escaped through his fangs. But he didn't open his mouth, instead, a magic circle appeared at his feet.
Fayla's expression changed drastically, she perfectly saw that circle was for teleportation, usually, in a fight, teleportation is really limited because of the aura of the enemy, but one can do it if he prepares himself enough before breaking through the opponent's aura. Fayla wondered if he was preparing that circle while they were fighting before.
She couldn't think more after that, Night teleported behind her, she just had the time to turn her head to see a twenty meters tall dragon staring at her with bloodshot eyes.
Night instantly roared and he spat a giant wave of fire that covered and burned everything in a ten miles distance in front of him. The fire spread like water until it stopped. The strange thing was that the fire didn't extinguish, it kept moving weirdly, like it was alive.
Night breathed out some smoke and stared at the sea of flames ”[Gaudete](Burst)” He chanted and the flames suddenly burned stronger before a deafening sound resounded and the entire zone in fire exploded like a nuke.
The fire stayed for a few minutes before leaving the ground totally charred. Night observed carefully with an uneven breath. He spotted a figure standing in the middle of the inferno.
Fayla stood there, she was panting and her appearance was pitiful. She only succeeded to protect half of her body along with the head and heart by sacrificing the trident. Result, her whole left side had burned to crisp, her arm and leg were just carbonized.
Night wasn't surprised about her survival. He wasn't focused on killing her in the first place. He needed her to tell the human capital that nothing wrong happened here.
”Surrender” Night said in a quiet and calm voice in the middle of the crackling sounds of the burned ground.
Fayla raised her head and stared at Night ”Never” She said
”Don't be unreasonable, you can't fight me like this” Night tried to convince her
Fayla took a small pill from her storage and immediately swallowed it. When she ate that pill, her skin began to heal back to normal.
Night's expression twitched when he saw that ”(A medicine?)” He smiled wryly ”(Arima never even touched that, saying that it isn't a fight if you rely on drugs)”
At this point, Fayla had recovered her fair skin, her black dress retransformed to cover the half of her body that was exposed. After that, she took out her golden sword and stared at Night.
”(Still, I may not be able to hold out from now on, should I let that woman finish it?)” Night thought then a dark-red light appeared right in front of him.
Night observed the red glow wide eyed before grinning and grabbing it.

After he tested Karma, Arima took out Superbia and smiled. In the last phase, he sent all the energy that wasn't absorbed by Karma into Superbia and his bullets. The rifle now was bigger and had a hint of red and purple on it.
Arima realized that if Superbia and Karma worked together, they could be really scary, so he took the opportunity.
After that, he quickly destroyed the creva.s.se and filled the magma chamber with water. At least like that, it will r.e.t.a.r.d the next eruption for a moment.
”Thank you” The land dragon thanked him in the next time ”If it wasn't for you, maybe the entire territory could have been destroyed.
”Nothing much. Really, don't thank me” Arima said with a darkened expression ”(I can't tell them I risked to destroy the continent for a personal reason right?)” He thought ”By the way, I haven't presented myself right? I'm Arimane Blade, call me Arima” He changed the subject
The dragon nodded ”My name is Hieran”
”I'm Rex” The dinosaur said with a silly smile and Hieran sighed
”Nice to meet you I presume” Arima said ”Well, now that I saved your little home, can you give me a little favor?”
”Sure. As long as we can do it” Hieran responded
”It's not much, I'm sure your forest has a dryad, right? I want to meet her” Arima directly asked
When they heard Arima's demand, the two beasts' expressions turned ugly ”Sorry Arima, but I'm not sure we can help you on that” Hieran finally said
Arima frowned ”Why?”
”That dryad has one of the worst personalities you can find” Rex shook his big head ”She thinks of herself as a Queen and is extremely selfish. For this incident, we asked her to help us but she said that she won't do it and told us to do what we can to stop it. She also told us that even if something happened she could protect the forest alone” He explained
Arima listened and furrowed ”That unlikely, I'm sure I could protect around a thousand miles radius of this forest if I give it my best but all of it is almost impossible. She wouldn't be able to protect the entire forest which take almost all the territory” He said ”Is she stupid?”
