33 Clean (1/2)

”The frontiers?” Lanya asked

”The frontier is kind of a war zone if I'm not wrong, and I'm quite curious” Arima said.

”Well, yes”

The frontiers that separate the territories on this continent is in reality a huge war zone. It became like that because of the continuous fights between the different races.

”But why do you want to go there exactly?” Lanya was perplexed

”For now, I just want to see what kind of battlefield it is” Arima said ”Let's go, it'll be quick anyway” His eyes glowed and a magic circle formed on the ground, in an instant, the trio disappeared.

In the beast continent, a ma.s.sive land dragon was looking down from the edge of a cliff. Down there, he saw a faint red light glowing.

”What should I do? I can't stop this with my strength” The dragon mumbled and then he thought of something ”That person who released that intent and also the pillar which destroyed that meteor. I don't know what kind of person it is but if I can get his help then it's not impossible to resolve this problem” He said

”I'll ask that old geezer if he can find him” he turned around and left the place to enter the forest.

Arima teleported directly above his destination around a kilometer in the sky. When they arrived, Lanya yelped in surprise because she didn't expect to suddenly appear in the sky.

Arima casually grabbed her hand and made her float with magic ”Hurry up and deploy your wings I won't carry you every time” He said

”Y-yes” Lanya returned to her senses and deployed her silver sings, she regained her mobility and thanked Arima.

The latter looked at the ground below. The place was filled with death aura and mana.

”That's interesting” Arima said but his expression didn't look happy or excited at all

”What is?” Lanya asked

”Look there” Arima pointed down with his chin and said. Lanya and Night followed his sight and looked down. They saw a group of strange creatures, they were red in color, they didn't have any eyes, they just had a giant mouth, some of them even had multiple mouths. They were eating the flesh of dead people.

”That's… unsettling” Lanya said ”What is that? I never saw or heard about something like that” She turned towards Arima

”If I'm not wrong, it should be something like an 'error' creature” Arima answered

”Error?” Night was perturbed by the word Arima just uttered. He always thought that Arima didn't care about what or who he would have in front of him but now he just called something an 'error'.

”Yeah, that's my thoughts. These things are something that are born because of this place, it's also things that can hardly be called life forms” He said ”For example, those red ones are maybe born from blood of the dead, the killing intent, the mana and the death aura spreading around in this place. Basically, they're just a result of hate and death, that's even worse than undead” He explained ”I'm sure there are more things like that all around the place, and of different kinds maybe”

”So, what do you want to do?” Night asked

”Clean” Arima said with a grin

”Clean? That's a questionable answer, what do you mean by that?” Night asked

”Simple” Arima extended his hand and faced his palm to the ground ”[Una gutta satis est] (One drop is enough)” He chanted and a transparent drop condensed in his palm

”[Ecce Panis exitium] (Bead of destruction)” The drop fell from his hands and fell down until it splashed on the ground. Where the drop fell, some changes could be observed, the earth moved a bit and big gla.s.s-like flower bloomed.

”What is that flower?” Lanya asked

”You'll know soon enough” Arima answered and teleported the group away and reappeared a thousand kilometers away, still in the 'war zone'. He used the same magic, and a gla.s.s flower bloomed.

After that, he repeated the same process around twenty times. No matter if it was between the human territory and the monster territory or maybe between the beast or human's territories, he went to all of the warzone separating each part of the country.

”…Hey, what the h.e.l.l are you doing?” Night asked with a complaining tone. Arima kept teleporting him and Lanya each minute and now he had a headache.

”It's okay, that's the last one” Arima said as he dropped the last bead ”Now, we need to back away to enjoy the spectacle” Arima said

”Spectacle?” Lanya tilted her head

Arima wore a smug smile and teleported the three of them one more time. They were now inside the human country but a few kilometers above the ground.

”Stop with the teleportation already!” Night snapped

”I said it's the last one” Arima said ”Well, to go back, maybe we'll need to use it”

”Flying down is good” Lanya said immediately and Night nodded

”Okay, fine” Arima shrugged ”Now, fireworks time” He smirked and snapped his fingers

At that instant, each flower Arima created in the war zone began to glow and each one of them produced a semi-transparent pillar that raised to the sky for at least a kilometre.

The flowers released an aura into the whole war zone, that aura wasn't really powerful but it possessed a strong destructive intent and also carried a spiritual message.

”A spiritual message? What is it?” Night asked after he heard it from Arima
