Chapter 25 (2/2)

vigilant eyes.

Zhang Yang was strolling for more than an hour now. Although

the area inside the small alley was very large, there was but only one pa.s.sage

of getting out, except from the alley’s entrance, no one would be able to get

out.

Zhang Yang wandered inside the alley until noon, then he

came out and returned to the bookstore panting.

“There’s a piece of bread and also a bottle of mineral

water.” The bookstore owner saw Zhang Yang return and pointed his fingers

towards the bookshelf above.

“He he! I just happen to be hungry.” Zhang Yang smiled

obsequiously.

“This is only the first time and also the last time, and it

won’t be repeated. I’m not here to provide free meals.” The owner didn’t even

lift head as he speak.

“Oh … oh.”

Zhang Yang finished the bread in just three mouthful to look

at the time. He looked at the owner sitting on a chair from the book shelf and

reading a fictional book as he was totally engrossed in reading. It seemed that

he had nothing to do with Zhang Yang.

“Boss, My surname is Zhang, and other people call me Zhang

Yang, Can I know your name?” Zhang Yang turned a few pages but couldn’t find

anything interesting so he put the book back to the shelf. He couldn’t find any

other words as he looked for something to talk about.

“Call me Lao Li.” The bookstore’s owner s.h.i.+fted his eyes but

still did not raise his head.

“Oh … Lao Li … …. Can this bookstore even support to feed

people? Evidently, it seems that the business is not that good.” Zhang Yang

glanced at the dilapidated old books above the shelves, it was clear that this

bookstore couldn’t keep up with the internet. So, there should be no business.

“I’m not short on money. I’m waiting for a man here.”

“Who?”

“You won’t understand.” Lao Li with a desolate expression on

his face.

“ … … Lao Li, Song Tao’s here. I’ll get going now.”

Zhang Yang saw Song Tao sadly walked in, he immediately

stood up and greeted Song Tao before escaping that place. The house was just

like a coffin, generally lifeless. Zhang Yang did not like the atmosphere there,

and Lao Li also seemed to be uninterested to talk.

Zhang had bought folders and papers from the bookstore right

away as now he had to do one important thing. After seeing the residence booklet,

Zhang Yang had a thought that Liu Biao simply couldn’t remember all of the

information in a short period of one week, not to mention memorizing everyone who

are familiar to the alley. As Liu Biao’s friend Zhang Yang wanted to re- order

the information in a new residence booklet for easy memory.

…………

“Dong Dong ...”

Zhang Yang was pretty busy when suddenly he heard several

gentle knock on the door. This made him feel very strange, as you know, they

have keys inside the dormitory and more importantly, currently the door is

ajar. A gentle push should open the door so who would still need to knock on

the door?

“Dong .. Dong “ The sound of knocking on the door still

continued. Although the sound was very low, Zhang Yang didn’t know why but he

heard a rhythm in the sound with a hint of firm implication. It seemed that the

person outside was unlikely to leave even if no-one responded to the door.

“Come In!” Zhang Yang had no choice.

“ZHANG YANG!!”

The door had just opened when a voice full of anger was

heard which terribly scared Zhang Yang that he basically jumped on the bed like

a spring.

“You … What on  earth…

you doing?”  Zhang Yang stammered as he

looked at the doorway, it was Xiao Yiran.
