Luke listened to everything that was happening and let out a breath. ”There is just so much that you and even myself have to learn, Peter. I was not well-informed of a lot of things but then again, being as young as I am, is a minor setback.” He shrugged and drank the sparkling juice that Cedric conjured him up.
Leo smiled, ”Thank you. I really mean that. You all worked so hard to help me get everything set up for tomorrow. I hope that she will love it as she deserves it.” He sat back and saw Stella. ”I know that this is supposed to be a male-only party, but you are welcome to join us.”
”Thank you, Leo. I was just coming to inform you that Charlette is all settled. She will sleep for the rest of the night.” She walked into the room and sat next to Peter. Stella took a sip of the bourbon that Peter had and gave the glass back to him.
”You are one of us. There is no way that we would leave you out. How old are you? I can tell that you younger but not the exact age.” Cedric looks at the girl called Stella.
”Seventy-five. I am a born vampire. I can feel that you are the one that I must listen to no matter what. Do you mind if I ask you how old you actually are?” Stella looked at Cedric in fascination.
”Hmmmm, that is a good question. It is hard to count after so many years. If you asked Yuki, she would tell you right off the bat. I am younger than her by fifty years. Let me ask her.” Cedric closes his eyes. ~Yuki, my Love, we have lived a long time. How long have we been walking this plane?~
~I haven't thought of that for a while five thousand seven hundred and sixty-two years for you. I don't mind our age getting out. After all, it has been a long-ass time.~ Yuki smiled at the thought while walking around with the girls.
~Thank you, Love.~ So it seems like I have been alive for five thousand seven hundred and sixty-two years. As I said, the days tend to all blend together after a while.” Cedric shrugged and took a drag of his cigar.
Everyone went silent. Leo was shocked as well, but he sighed. ”You have been working behind the scenes. I know that some of my ancestors worked with a vampire couple that never aged. Would that be you?”
”Yeah, it was a tragedy that we lost Robert and Sandra. Those two were working in the right direction. Leo, your parents were good people. We were in contact with them through the mind link. The connection was set up by myself and Kitty. I know that you know that Kitty worked with them for many years.” Cedric closes his eyes, thinking back to the past.
”All I need to know is that you were on their side. I know that they have been gone for a while. I will get the hunter association set up so that I can investigate further. In the meantime, I will need to take care of Kitty and my children. I was executing Luke, but Tiana and Charlette were a pleasant surprise. I wouldn't change my family for anyone else.” _Leo patted Luke on the shoulder. ”I would offer you a taste, but I know that you are still settling into your powers, and I don't know the effects it would have on you.”
”Nothing will happen. The metabolism in a young wolf will get tipsy, but it would take the whole bottle to get him drunk.” Carlos had gotten up and poured more in his cup and grabbed another. He poured some bourbon into the cup. He brought the second cup to Luke. ”In human terms, you are too young, but in werewolf years, you are over age.”
Luke took the cup and looked at the amber liquid. ”Are you sure that I should drink this?” looking at the glass, Luke's eyes sparkle in excitement. He sees Carlos nodded, so he put the glass to his lips and drank it all at once. ”It burns as it goes down.” Luke sneezed and sat back to see what it would do to him.
Leo laughed. You drank a lot for your first time. I suggest that you stick to just that much for now.” Leo took the glass and placed it on the table. ”You will feel the effects in a little while.”
Carlos polished off the glass he poured and sat down. ”It is strange to not know about one's partner location. I have decided that I will decide on my partner. Kitty has been on my case about it for a while now. It doesn't help that I also have my Father on my case, ever since I brought Cindy to the pack.”
”I think that was the point. Kitty is calculating. If we are single and notices even a hint of infatuation, she will do everything in her power to help out. That is how she always has been.” Ketan looked up at the ceiling. ”I never let found the one until recently. To think it has been one hundred and seventy-seven years already is a testament. Vampires usually settle down in the first hundred years. Look at Cedric and Yuki. They were to be married before one hundred, and my sister also found her life partner before one hundred. Although Stella, you are an exception. You were held against your will and were not allowed to hunt for your chosen one, but at least he was brought to you.”
