Chapter 404 - 404 An Explosion (1/2)
Ketan followed Kitty and sat on the edge of the water.
Kitty finally lifted her head up. ”Why won't you, let me wallow in my sadness?” Kitty looked at Ketan with tears in her eyes.
”If I left you alone, do you think that my mother would let me off the hook. I am supposed to be the one that watches over you. Kitsune, you really won't tell me what is going to happen will you?” Ketan sat on the ground watching her. ”In all the years that you have been close to my family, this is the first time you have refused my request.”
”I-I can't say this. I just cannot say it. Ahriman, how can I say what I saw? It will only cause suffering and regret.” Kitty lifted her head and her tears were silver in colour.
Ketan stepped onto the water. He wiped her tears away. ”As your friend, I want to tell you not to worry. As your guardian, I want to end your suffering and as your family, I want to solve the problem. I get the feeling that it has to do with Sylvie and that is why you will not say.” He caught a few teardrops and showed her the colour. ”You need to calm down before you change the weather here.”
Kitty tried to stop crying at his words. ”I saw a lot of death, Ketan. There are a few that we will not be able to stop and that is why I dropped the dream. We cannot make those around us choose but it was not Sylvie that I saw at least not this time. Go back to Leo and the others. I will be safe here.”
Ketan bowed to Kitty and left her to be on her own. He appeared back in the office. ”Leo, she has stopped crying. There is some small war that's going to happen and there is nothing that can be done to stop it. She will not say who she saw die but I know that it is not my sister and it can not be one of us that is cursed. Brielle, you must promise that if something comes up with work here that you do not take part in a large scale operat...”
”That must be it!” Leo hit his hands on the desk. ”Thank you, Ketan. You got me just enough information.” He quickly pulls out his keyboard and starts to click away at the keys. He watches the surveillance tapes and sees that there are less than normal numbers watching Valdis and then there is an explosion.
Leo looks around the room and sees that Charlette is safe and being protected by Jenna. ”I got her Leo. The baby is innocent and is your daughter.”
Ketan was protecting Brielle. ”Is everyone okay? What the f.u.c.k just happened?”
~It is as the dream foretold. Only it was a little late.~ Kitty's voice rang in everyone's head. ~I will do what I am meant to.~ Kitty's voice cuts off and she leaves her hideout and goes to the site.
Rex looks up at Kitty. ”Kitten, you can not be here.” He holds out his hand to her.
