Chapter 397 - 397 Slight Change in Plans (2/2)

Lydia was still slightly standing on Thompson's back. ”You are going into hiding with our daughter. I will take your place. I find it hard to believe that you hunted anything but this explains the nightmares you had. When I was younger, I had those nightmares but after a point in time, they stopped as hunting became a daily part of life. I no longer was afraid of the beasts that I hunted.”

Kitty looked at the girl in her arms. ”I will not die, do not fret. I am going to live as long as that world will let me. I have no intention of passing away.” She calmed the girl's heart rate down and sighed. ”I am sorry for scaring you.”

Leo picked up another pin and handed it to Lydia. ”You both can be my secretary. I can always use another set of hands. There are a lot of people in this association. If you want to become reinstated I will welcome you with open arms.”

Lydia looked at the pin and then at her daughter. ”I will accept this but if you are going to send anyone away I would you rather send Thompson so that he is out of harm's way with our daughter and I will need to find a daycare for her while we are both working.”

”You can let her stay at my place. I do not just have a baby girl. We have a daughter that is the same age. We saved her from a group of rogue vampires and now she lives with us. She was supposed to go elsewhere but I kinda got attached… really attached. It doesn't help that I was nesting and in the last stages of pregnancy.” Kitty blushed and glanced at Leo.

Thompson sat up and looked at his wife. ”Lydia, if that is what you would like to do then I will follow your command. I did not know about this part of your life but I knew that you were from overseas. Since you are that one with the most experience I will let you make the choices.”

Lydia looked at Thompson, ”you always submit to me. I do love you, Hubby. I just worry since you are already a target that you could get killed. So you should take this time to be with our daughter and we can talk about what to do when the major issue has been resolved. I trust that you know what I am talking about.”

”Yes, Mam.” Thompson sat on his knees looking at his wife. ”You say what I was doing so I am sure that you will be able to do the secretary job and you even gave me a hand when I was troubled.”

Ketan took a step forward. ”If that is all settled now then I would like to take the two to my sister. She is awaiting their arrival. Thompson, my sister is nicer than I am and has more patience than I do.”

Kitty let Elizabeth down and walked over to Leo. ”I think this is the right choice.” She smiled and looked that the people that were in the room. ~Hey Sylvie, there is a slight change of plans. Instead, it being the mother it will be the father and the child. I hope that will be alright?~
