Chapter 390 - 390 Fourth Seal (1/2)
”She is in her secret location. I am not allowed to say anything about that place but I can say this. When I arrived with your blood Ketan was about to break almost completely. He drained a lot of beasts. I fed him your blood and then casted the spell to tie him to her. It was a complete success.” Rex let out a sigh.
”What about Brielle? I knew that they were planning to have her on standby.” Leo asked before closing his eyes.
”She is safe. There was a need for her to come. Rest up and I will go back to your love. I will watch over her for the night and make sure that she is sane enough to work tomorrow.” Rex patted Leo's shoulder and then disappeared like a cloud of smoke.
Leo let out a sigh and laid back down in his bed. 'There is nothing more lonely than coming back to an empty bed. It is hard but I do not want her to have any issues and attack someone.' Leo laid down fully on the bed and stared at the ceiling before being able to decide whether or not to send a message to her. 'If she is sleeping it will disturb her but if she is awake then she will want to leave where she is.' He slowly rolled over in excruciating amounts of pain.
Rex arrived in the cave and saw that Kitty was stable at this time and sleeping soundly. Rex kept his eye on her but leaned against the wall. 'I give her a few hours before she begs me to let her go.'
After rolling over a wave of sleep caught Leo unexpectedly. He welcomed it and let the slumber pull him under.
Kitty kept her eyes closed but could feel Leo's thoughts. She chanted in her mind to ease him into sleep and drifted back into unconsciousness. Four hours passed and she opened her eyes and sat up. ”Rex?”
Hearing her move he got up and came to her side. ”Kitten, how are you feeling?”
”The thirst has eased off but it burns inside like the seal is trying to break.” Kitty clutched her chest in agony.
”Sh*t,” Rex lifts her and takes her through the waterfall, to the middle of the pool of water. He pulled out his knife and stabbed his hand quickly and placed the bloodied hand over her heart. ”Thy is the seal that is bound, it isn't thy time. Slumber once more and thy time will come.”
Kitty didn't feel any better. ”Grandfather, it is not working. It is only going to be one more seal. With two guardians I should be able to handle it now. It is not easy but I broke four all at once and I was fine.” She felt the seal start to crack within her body, ”besides, this is no different than how the guys felt last night.” As she finished that sentence the seal shattered and on reflex from the pain she curled up into a ball. Every part of her body was on fire and breaking apart.
