Chapter 358 - 358 Are You Ready to Bear That Burden? (2/2)
”This is my adopted son, Lavatis. I am giving him the choice to decide if he wants this or if he would rather stay that way he is. So I do not know if he will choose to become the bearer yet. I thought it would be good since there was a major reaction.” Kitty looked at Luke and smiled.
”Lavatis, should you choose then you would be able to get closer to us, I am Wilhelmine and this is Afa. Those are our true names. I will not force you to choose but I will hope that you will free Kitsune.” Amelia bowed and looked at Kitty.
”The pleasure is all mine. Mother, I think that I have made my choice. I want to stay by your side and always be able to help you. Please give me the runes.” Luke beamed a smile.
”Are you sure that is what you want?” Kitty looked at Luke waiting for an answer.
”Yes, I am sure. There is still a lot that I do not know but I think that after some time I will learn everything.” Luke nodded his head.
”Come onto the water then. I need to transfer the rune around the water. I will help you mask it but it will be hard on you unless Amelia makes sure that it does not appear.” Kitty hopped into the water and walked to the middle of the pool.
Luke followed Kitty and smiled, ”I do not think that I am making a mistake, Mother. Where is the rune going to go?”
”Our rune has always gone on the right hand. It is one of the reasons Kitty was able to project it the way that she did.” Amelia sat on the edge of the water watching.
Kitty nodded at Amelia, she touched the pool of water and then held out the rune. ”Luke hold out your right hand, please.”
Luke immediately held out his right hand and smiled at Kitty. ”I do like that the rune you hold is such a beautiful blue color.”
”Lavatis, you are now being granted the great task of becoming the water bearer. There is nothing that can change your fashion and you will forever live with this for the rest of your life. Once this rune is passed to you your future will be never-ending. There are only five of us that will bear these marks. Do you accept that you will no longer die? Watching as your loved ones leave your side. Seeing your children die before you. Are you ready to bear that burden?”
