”I do not normally but this is different. She is a daughter of Kitty's and I know that she is adopted but there is not much of a difference when it comes to her. Kitty will treat her as her own and will not let her go. As for Ketan, I will lay off him this time. I am glad that he is doing well. I hope that he will settle down with a partner soon.” Michelle looked at the girl in his lap and saw that the girl's eyes were staring up at her.
”How does your eye color match Tiana's when you asked if I would be scared if your eyes were red?” Tiana was staring at him in wonder.
~You might be correct. It is not like I would mind. Tiana is young right now but when she is older she will need to choose a partner and if it turns out to be a vampire over a thousand years old then there is nothing I can do.~ Kitty looked at Luke before letting out a small sigh.
Cindy came into the living room with a tray that had a plate of food, a tea saucer, and a pot of tea. ”I thought that since you hadn't had breakfast that you might like something light before the day started.” Cindy saw that Tiana was on Michelle's lap and was surprised. ”Michelle! I did not know that you were here. It has been a while.”
”Cindy! It is good to see you girl. I thought that you would be here usually where Kitty is you will not be that far away. I am glad to see you doing well. Which one are you in charge of?” Michelle looks at Tiana and then at Charlette.
”Both of them but with Luke and Stella's help, I am more focused on Tiana. She is such a good girl honestly.” Cindy smiled and placed the food and tea in front of Kitty before sitting in the chair next to Michelle.
”Tiana, I was not ignoring your question. I will show you why my eyes look like yours.” Michelle reached up and took out one of the contacts and his red eye was a darker red color. ”Does it scare you?”
”Tiana is not afraid. The red is a different shade from Uncle and Auntie. Are you doing okay?” Tiana looked up at the eye and touched his cheek like a worried little critter.
”I am healthy. I am older than the vampires that are here so that is why it is darker in color. I am glad that I got to meet a cutie like you.” Michelle put the contact back in and smiled.
”It is nice that you showed us your eye color. I am still learning about the shades but when was the last time you fed?” Luke looked at him in fascination.
”Hmmmmm, that is a good question. I think it was two no wait three weeks ago since I have fed. I can go for a month sometimes two months without eating and I have yet to lose my mind. I have disciplined myself.” Michelle thought about it and sighed inside. 'Sister and Edith, I know that this little girl is not you two but the connection I feel, feels so real.
