Chapter 170 170 A Minor Prank (2/2)

Leo sits in his normal spot beside Kitty. He started to carve the rotisserie chicken and places some on her plate. After he served Kitty with the chicken he gets some for himself. He watches Ketan from the corner of his eye.

Carlos comes to the table and places two big bowels down. The first bowel is full of pasta salad and the second bowl has caesar salad. ”Well, when a werewolf has to eat as much as we do it is hard when we can not enjoy what we make. So the first thing I learned was cooking. Are you going to sit and watch us eat?”

Cindy carried a jug of juice into the dining room and went around pouring the juice for everyone. She wasn't sure if she should pour some for Ketan so instead of pouring him some she put the jug down near him. ”I know how to cook as well but I do not cook all that often it is nice to brush up my skills now that I am helping out in the kitchen.” She went and sat down in her usual seat across from Kitty. ”I must say that it is quite the process of cooking the chicken but it turned out to be so good.”

Ketan didn't bother with the juice but looked at the chicken. 'I think I will do exactly what I thought. It's at least something that smells delicious.' Ketan cut off the drumstick of the chicken and started munching on it. ”Mmmmm, not bad at all. I think that you got the seasoning right and the skin is nice a crispy.”

Carlos freezes and looks at Ketan in shock. ”Wait, you can eat human food?”

Kitty started eating her meal paying Ketan no mind, as she had seen him consume food just for fun. 'A silly prank, to ease the minds of those around them.'

”That is so cool. I didn't think that a vampire would be able to eat chicken! I am learning new things all the time. Carlos this looks amazing I can not wait to see what you have decided to cook for dinner. If I can say when we were at Carlos's place they didn't allow him to cook while he was there so he must have missed cooking very much.” Luke had a whole chicken minus a drumstick on his plate.

”That sounds like something Jaxson would do.” Kitty shook her head.

Cindy looks at Ketan and just stares in shock.

”Well it's not that we can't eat it and I do enjoy making it look like I am at least somewhat human but it really doesn't do anything for me. All my substance I need to stay alive comes from blood but thank you for cooking.” Ketan finished the drumstick and plated the bone on the cutting board as he decided to sit there and listen to the conversation.

”Well that is an interesting fact. Since it won't harm you, are you able to taste test food and see if it is poisoned? Speaking of my father, he was on a patrol and hunt when an intruder came up to him. He was given a letter that is addressed to you. I brought it back with me.” Carlos sat down and slides the envelope over to Kitty.

Kitty arches her brow and takes the envelope. ”This is the third one that has come my way. I wonder who is trying to get in contact with me? Or could this be completely different supernatural beings? Hmmmm, so strange that they would go to the vampires and the werewolves as well. Oh, Darling, as the Advocate I was wondering if I could make a formal request from the association?”
