Xu Chencan was still a little worried. If it was because he had offended the Xu Family, then wouldn't he be a sinner?

Seeing that she didn't take his words to heart, Chu Lingyu helplessly sighed and pulled her into his embrace, letting her sit on his lap.

”Since the Chu family is so big, there are a lot of people who want to interfere. By doing this today, those people understand that the Xu family has nothing to do with us. When the time comes, we don't need to give them face, so naturally the Chu family will have less losses.” Chu Lingyu calmly analyzed.

Xu Chencan looked at the drunken banquet hall again, as if he understood what Chu Lingyu was trying to say.

After all, the Chu Clan was not an ordinary family. The reason why he was able to marry here was because of his promise with Chu Lingyu. He would not want anything from Chu Lingyu that he should not have, but the others were different.

After coming to an understanding, Xu Chencan looked at Chu Lingyu with a deeper meaning.

”Are you sad?” Xu Chencan rubbed her face in a daze, asking softly.

Chu Lingyu grabbed the hand that was messing around with her face, and kissed it on the lips, before letting out a cold snort of disdain.

He raised his eyebrows confidently, ”Our Chu Clan does not need that kind of pity.”

It seemed like Xu Chencan didn't understand what he meant at all. Xu Chencan sighed helplessly and leaned wearily against his chest.

”When I was speaking with Xu Qiming just now, I really wanted to ask him what sort of existence I was in his eyes.” Her voice trailed off, and there was more pain in her eyes than ever.

Seeing how disappointed she was, Chu Lingyu's heart ached. She told the chauffeur to hurry up and drive.

They did not return to the Chu Clan, but instead went to the seaside.

The Chu Clan had a vacation home here, so it was a good idea to take a breather and relax.

On the beach, Chu Lingyu helped Xu Chencan carry her shoes and let her walk in front while he carefully followed her.

When the soft sand was stepped on, Xu Chencan revealed his lively side. Borrowing the light from a nearby street lamp, he left footprints on the ground.

Tired of playing, Chu Lingyu immediately brought her a drink.

Xu Chencan stopped and turned around to look at Chu Lingyu. Seeing him looking back at her, she couldn't help but walk up to him.

”Chu Lingyu, why are you so good to me? What will you do if I can't give you a response? ” Xu Chencan looked into her eyes and asked seriously.

He only revealed a faint smile, as if telling her that such a thing was impossible.

Perhaps it was because his gaze was too aggressive, Xu Chencan quickly let go of him and went back to being an ostrich.

Walking to a place where there were many pebbles, Xu Chencan picked up a piece of water and began to float. He could not help but laugh.

”In my opinion, my grandfather is the only family I have. Isn't that ridiculous?” Xu Chencan looked at Chu Lingyu with a bitter smile.

Chu Lingyu went forward and hugged her tightly, rubbing her chin against the top of her head, lowering her head and saying: ”It won't happen.”

If you lose your home, I'll give you one. I'll be the person you love the most.

He said this silently in his heart.

After enjoying the feeling of being cared for for for a while, she calmly withdrew from Chu Lingyu's embrace, lowering her head, not daring to look at her.

”Can Can Can.” Chu Lingyu called out in a hoarse voice as she helped to straighten her hair, ”You're not alone.”

Xu Chencan raised his head in surprise and looked into his eyes. Xu Chencan felt as if he was trapped by something and could not move at all.

”Let me go.” Xu Chencan quietly resisted.
