”I just don't want Boss Chu to worry about Madam when she's working.” Mo Lan explained carefully, afraid that Chu Lingyu would kick him out if she misunderstood.

Chu Lingyu was quite satisfied with this answer and did not argue with him. But before letting him go, Chu Lingyu had him order a bunch of flowers for her this afternoon.

Mo Lan came out with mixed feelings. He turned his head to look at Chu Lingyu, who was seriously taking care of her business. He lowered his head to swallow a breath of air before leaving.

As night fell, Xu Chencan dragged his exhausted body out of the meeting room.

Returning to the office to pack up his belongings, Xu Chencan decided to return as soon as possible.

”ChenCan.” Xue Tianning called out from the doorway. Seeing Xu Chencan looking at him, he walked over and smiled at her. ”It's getting late. Let's go eat together.”

”This …” Xu Chencan looked at him with a troubled expression. She wanted to return as soon as possible.

Seeing that she had rejected him, Xue Tianning lowered his eyes in disappointment. However, he soon broke out into a smile.

”Then after you pass the test, how about you treat me to a good meal?”

Xue Tianning had given her a way out. If Xu Chencan refused again, she probably wouldn't give him any face.

Seeing that he didn't insist, Xu Chencan let out a sigh of relief and nodded with a smile. ”Of course. I'll definitely ask you for it when the time comes.”

The atmosphere between the two immediately lightened up. Xue Tianning and Xu Chencan walked out, laughing and chatting.

”Director Chu is here.” Just as they were about to reach the door, Xue Tianning spotted Chu Lingyu and immediately warned Xu Chencan in a low voice.

Hearing the words ”Boss Chu”, Xu Chencan immediately looked over. As expected, it was Chu Lingyu. Her eyes lit up, and she unconsciously quickened her pace.

Very quickly, she arrived in front of Chu Lingyu, looking at the words in his hand with slight astonishment.

”Have you been waiting here long?” Xu Chencan whispered guiltily.

Chu Lingyu walked up to Xu Chencan, handed the flower to her, and shook her head with a smile. ”I didn't wait long.”

He then turned to the unsightly Xue Tianning and spoke in a provocative tone, ”Doctor Xue is here too. We're going to eat. Would Doctor Xue like to join us?”

How could she not hear the glee in his voice? Xue Tianning forced a smile. ”No need. I still have surgery tomorrow, so I'll head back first.”

”Dr. Xue, please head back as soon as possible. Tomorrow is another hard day for you.” Xu Chencan glared at Chu Lingyu as he helped Xue Tianning resolve this awkward situation.

Don't think that she doesn't know what Chu Lingyu's plan is.

Since he had already achieved his goal, Chu Lingyu would not put Xue Tianning in front of her eyes. She hugged Xu Chencan's waist and casted a pampering scratch on her nose.

”Teacher Xue, who knows you're worried about you, let's go eat then.”

Even if Chu Lingyu hadn't mentioned it, Xu Chencan would have insisted on eating outside. She was starving to the point where her breasts were sticking to her back.

Xu Chencan smiled at him, then bid farewell to Xue Tianning.

Xu Chencan was a smart person. She knew what to say to keep Chu Lingyu from getting angry.

Chu Lingyu tilted her head and looked at Xu Chencan's serious face before pinching her cheek. She smiled and said, ”Don't worry. As a husband, I will be obedient.”
