The corners of Xue Tianning's mouth curved into a smile as he walked over to Xu Chencan. Looking at her as if nothing had happened, he said, ”Let's go. I'm afraid the branch department's waiting for us.”

”I'd better not go today. I'm sorry to have delayed Dr. Xue for so long.” Xu Chencan apologised apologetically.

Right now, she was in a bad mood. She didn't want her small matter to affect her work.

Xue Tianning stretched out his hand and gently ruffled her hair. He said softly, ”Then go back and have a good rest. You can watch the recording tomorrow.”

”Thank you.” Xu Chencan choked with emotions as he spat out the two words, before stopping a car at the side of the road and leaving.

Instead of going back, she went to her grandfather's grave and sat there for a long time. She only came out when the cemetery was about to close.

When they returned to the Chu Clan, Chu Lingyu had yet to return. Xu Chencan did not want to bother with her and went upstairs.

When Chu Lingyu returned, Auntie Ling immediately came out of her room and walked in front of him. She said worriedly, ”I don't know what's going on with Chencan. He seems to be in a bad mood and he hasn't eaten dinner. Why don't you go take a look?”

”If she doesn't want to eat it, then forget it, just ignore her.” Chu Lingyu coldly said, completely different from her previous concern.

”Did you have a fight?” Auntie Ling asked worriedly as she looked upstairs.

She had noticed all of these things that had happened between the two of them. Originally, Xu Chencan was not very interested in Chu Lingyu, but now that Chu Lingyu had calmed down, how long could this relationship last?

Chu Lingyu was stunned. When she looked at Aunt Ling, she smiled bitterly, ”I can't help it either.”

She had forgotten herself. What could he do? Was he going to force her to remember?

”Aunt Ling, can you tell the kitchen to cook something hot? If she's hungry, she'll come and eat.” In the end, Chu Lingyu couldn't help but think for her.

Seeing that he still had Xu Chencan in his heart, Aunt Ling immediately agreed with a smile and told him to prepare some food.

Chu Lingyu went upstairs. He walked to the door of Xu Chencan's room and raised his hand, hesitating as to whether he should knock on the door. In the end, he returned to his room expressionlessly.

He had originally thought that the next day would be over, and Xu Chencan's anger over yesterday's incident had also dissipated quite a bit.

Seeing Chu Lingyu coming down the stairs, Xu Chencan immediately stood up. She was about to call for someone when she saw Chu Lingyu walk past her towards the door, without even giving her a glance.

”Aunt Ling.” Xu Chencan looked at Aunt Ling in panic. ”What's wrong with him?”

Aunt Ling was also confused. She didn't know what had happened either.

Perhaps it was because of what had happened yesterday. After Xu Chencan understood the situation, she smiled helplessly and continued to eat her breakfast.

When he was about to leave, Xu Chencan had intended to take the subway. However, the moment he stepped out of the door, he saw a car parked in front of the entrance. The driver was respectfully standing beside him.

”Miss Xu, I'm your personal chauffeur. Mister said that you're the young mistress of the Chu Family, don't embarrass the Chu Family by squeezing into the public transport.” The chauffeur passed on Chu Lingyu's words untouched.

Xu Chencan clenched her teeth. If she could, she would have rejected him immediately.

However, in the end, Xu Chencan still managed to restrain herself. The driver opened the door and she entered.

As soon as he arrived at the entrance of the hospital, Xu Chencan could feel everyone's attention on him.

After all, there was an intern from Lincoln who seemed to be interested in gossip.

Very soon, the gossip in the office about Xu Chencan began to circulate. Even Xue Tianning knew a bit about it.

Xue Tianning shook his brush contentedly with a smile on his face.
