320 Farsia Kingdom 3 (1/2)

The next day, scout teams began destroying all traps and ambushes that the Farsia Kingdom had prepared. It was enough to show to the Farsia Kingdom that their thousand-year-old ways of protecting their kingdom were futile. The RPGs were merciless. They struck the traps without errors and enemies who hid behind the traps for ambushes were sniped down. Narrow roads actually worked against the Farsia Kingdom's soldiers in their attempts to escape.

And with the way open, the construction team began to bulldoze their way in. Cliffs were destroyed to pave a path.

”So, did you find a way?”

”Yeah, boss. We did it!”

”Great!”

James clenched his fists in excitement.

”I wasn't sure if we could, but…”

Geron smiled in embarrassment. Burey, another man next to James, asked, ”Boss, are we going to be rich?”

”I'm not sure. The Empire Army is advancing well without us anyway.”

Roden, who was watching some women hostesses inside the bar, responded grumpily. But when liquor was served to them, all of them began drinking with a smile.

The war against Farsia was going very slowly. The Empire took its time to attack the other countries, but they were dragging their feet the most going against the Farsia Kingdom. It was a matter of time for Farsia to fall to the Empire, but the amount of money being used in the war was tremendous.

'What should I ask for?'

James and his mercenaries had found a shortcut leading straight into the capital of Farsia. This was very crucial information. James thought for a while and smiled.

”Wait here and drink. I will go negotiate with them. Don't… No, never mind. We'll all go together. Let's go to the Empire's command.”
