277 Beginning of Invasion Amon Raid 1 (1/2)

”Take this!”

Jinpok swung his giant battle axe at the monster charging towards him. It cleaved the monster into two from its head to its chest. The Amon tried to use its last breath to swing its claw at Jinpok but it barely scratched his armor.

Soldiers shouted and screamed as they started fighting the Amon all around. Many were wounded but no one died. The soldiers all had sturdy armor covering their bodies and the Amon's claws and teeth couldn't penetrate the armor.

”Use your potion if you need to! Don't save it!”

Joonbum shouted at a soldier who was hesitant about using his potion. As the potion was poured over the wound, it quickly began healing it. This was an upgraded version made by the Khalodian Red Cross which had increased healing power. It brought about severe pain as a side effect while healing, but the speed of it was unmatched.

”Stand your ground!”

”Kill them one by one!”

”They're coming!”

The soldiers fought hard and the wounded screamed in pain from using the potions but none were dying. The only things that fell were the monster Amons. Besides, the soldiers outnumbered the attacking monsters.

Joonbum used his giant sword to chop off an Amon's head.

”That's a clean cut!”

Jinpok smiled at Joonbum while flicking his axe to get rid of the blood.

”How's it faring? You seem restless.”

”Yeah, but it's okay. I am in control.”

Jinpok had a downside where he would go into a frenzy on the battlefield. But this battle was already considered common in their lives and Jinpok was able to unleash all his energy before going back to his family to live normally.

He swung his axe and cleaved another Amon into two.

”They are running! Get 'em!”

Someone shouted and the soldiers began to fire their guns. With gunshots and the smell of gunpowder everywhere, the short battle that went on for twenty minutes was over.

”Dammit. Is it over already?”

Jinpok grunted. His body was covered in blood and bits of monster flesh, and he was picking them off by hand.

”Everyone else is tired except you.”

”Oh, is that so?”

Doral nodded. It was only a twenty-minute battle, but it took a lot of focus and concentration which exhausted everyone. However, the soldiers still had some reserves left. Their ten-year battle against the monsters had toughened them enough to not be too tired from this.
