Chapter 1475 - Nian Xi Suffered a Gunshot Injury on Duty (1/2)
Little Apple blinked several times, and he pouted as he turned around and hugged Luosang’s thighs. He burst into tears as he wailed, “Mama, Papa is bullying… little baby!”
Nian Junting laughed. “How am I bullying you? I didn’t curse at all when I scolded you. You didn’t manage to learn how to speak English, but you sure know how to complain! As a man, no matter how tough it gets, you have to stay strong and steadfast like steel.”
Luosang placed her son onto her lap, before instinctively rolling her eyes at Nian Junting. “Look at how young he is! He’s just a little over one! It’s already impressive that he can speak so much, so how can you expect him to speak English? Do you know what you’re doing? You’re submitting to western supremacy. Do you want me to tell your grandfather about this?”
The old man hated the westerners and their behavior. Nian Junting abruptly fell silent.
After being speechless from what Luosang had said for a while, he suddenly replied, “Luoluo, you’re right. However, as a boy, he must be strong and resilient. I’ve decided that I’ll send him to train in martial arts when he turns three, and then he’ll attend swimming cla.s.ses at night. Additionally, I’ll send him to the army when he turns 18. I’ve always wanted to contribute to the country in some way, but I can’t because of my physical limitations. Son, I don’t expect you to become a Senior General, but you must at least become a lieutenant.”
Little Apple looked puzzled.
Luosang sighed. It would tire their son out if he tried to carry all of his father’s aspirations on his back.
Noticing that Luosang said nothing, Nian Junting pursed his lips and added, “Alright, fine! Even if you can’t do all of these things, you must at least be filial to your parents. That’s the least you can do as a man! Forget about your old man, but you must be good to your mother! If your father dies and leaves your mother alone, you must take care of her!”
“What nonsense are you spouting?” Luosang quickly covered his mouth, visibly upset.
Nian Junting frowned and sighed. “I’m not spouting nonsense. I’m so much older than you that by the time I hit my seventies, you would only be 60. You can never tell what’s going to happen with these things, so I just want to play safe. Therefore, I have to educate our son well.”
“That won’t happen!” Luosang felt dejected thinking about his words, so she tried to convince both of them.
“Luoluo, you’ll miss me, right?” Nian Junting hugged her tightly, touched by her reaction.
Luosang smiled and replied, “There’s a saying that goes, ‘Villains often enjoy long lives.'”
Nian Junting’s expression changed, and he playfully bit her lips.
