She never thought this would happen, but it felt nice to be with him. She decided to enjoy the happy time she was having now. No one was able to predict the future.

She couldn’t sleep, so she got up from bed to write lyrics until 5 a.m. Around 8:30 a.m., she was awoken by the sound of knocking.

Yan Su hurriedly put on a coat and answered the door. Mo Liuxi was standing at the door with breakfast. Seeing her with messy clothing and hair, he paused slightly in surprise and smiled.

“I overslept,” she said while rubbing her eyes. She felt a little embarra.s.sed.

Mo Liuxi walked in and put the breakfast on the table. He reached out a hand to pull her coat and said, “You wore it inside out.”

Yan Su glanced at the coat and found that he was right. “I’ll get changed in the room.”

“Hurry up. Your cla.s.s starts at 9,” Mo Liuxi said. “It’ll take you more than 10 minutes to walk to school.”

Yan Su quickly changed and washed her face. When she came out of the room, Mo Liuxi had already poured the warm milk into a to-go cup.

“Take it and drink it on your way,” he said as he handed her the cup.

Yan Su glanced at his injured arm and felt a little guilty. He was injured, yet he still prepared breakfast for her.

“What about you?” she asked.

“I have time,” he said. “My cla.s.s starts at 11.”

“I envy you,” Yan Su said before rus.h.i.+ng to the TV cabinet to look for her books.
