After spending a few seconds under his gaze, Yan Su decided to find an excuse to leave. However, right at that moment, s.h.i.+ Xiang walked over.

“Su, do you two know each other?” he asked.

Yan Su felt that she might go crazy.

Still, she needed to act politely. “Yeah, we are…” She nodded, trying to explain.

“Yeah, we’re neighbors,” Mo Liuxi interrupted her.

s.h.i.+ Xu paused. He almost failed to maintain the mild smile he wore on his face.

He turned to Mo Liuxi with a meaningful look in his eyes. The latter looked back at him. Their eye-contact alone created an unfriendly atmosphere.

s.h.i.+ Xiang recalled that he’d seen Mo Liuxi at Yan Su’s door that afternoon when he’d left. At the time, he’d thought that Mo Liuxi was only pa.s.sing by. Now he realized that the latter had probably been there to see her.

Yan Su might be slow-minded sometimes, but at that very moment, she clearly sensed the weird atmosphere between the two of them.

“It’s because Luosang used to live near me. Liuxi lives in my next-door now. He wanted to live close to his sister,” she hurriedly said.

The look on s.h.i.+ Xiang’s face turned slightly for the better, yet Mo Liuxi pulled a long face.

Sensing the tense atmosphere, Jiaojiao joined the conversation, “Su, let’s sit over there. Mr. Ye is there too.”

“Okay. Let’s go,” Yan Su hurriedly left, even though the two men might start a war.

Looking at her back, s.h.i.+ Xiang folded his arms and said to Mo Liuxi, “Director Mo, I didn’t know that you were so close with your sister.”
