Back at home, Mo Liuxi opened the fridge and saw the chicken wings. His eyes lingered on them for a few seconds, then he took a bottle of soda and closed the fridge door.

Having after-dinner snacks alone was a little boring. He couldn’t even finish the chicken wings.

He made spicy chicken wings tonight. After thinking for a moment, he took a picture of the wings, then sent it to Yan Su.

It was morning in New York time. As Yan Su got up from bed, she saw the picture; instantly she felt hungry.

A short while later, she received a message from Mo Liuxi --’I can’t eat them alone, so I dumped them.’

He sent her another picture of the chicken wings in the trash can.

‘Such a waste,’ Yan Su responded regretfully.

After a shower, Mo Liuxi lay on his bed, his lips curved in a smile. It was a waste indeed.

You’re not here. What else could I do? he thought.

He replied to Yan Su --’Do you see that trash can? You’re that trash can.’

Yan Su was so angry she wanted to vomit blood. She seriously didn’t understand why Mo Liuxi sent her that message. She a.s.sumed that he wanted to make her angry.

Mo Liuxi waited for four minutes, but never received another message from her. He decided to send her a new message --’Bring me a bagel.’

The message wasn’t delivered because Yan Su had deleted him from her WeChat friends.

He paused briefly, then angrily threw his phone.

How dare she delete me? That is so awful.
