“Nian Xi, since your family is here, we’re going to take our leave first. The Director told us to take a few days off to rest before going back to report for duty. You can take your time to adjust your mood at home.” Zhan Hong waved goodbye to her.

After she got in the car, she quickly asked Nian Qingyun, “Dad, did they manage to capture that guy who leaked the information from the lab?”

“The United States is refusing to hand over the man.” Nian Qingyun turned to look at her. “Of course, this is temporary. They will have to hand him over eventually. If they don’t take a stand, it would encourage everyone to steal intellectual property.”

“How shameless. How could he betray his own country like this?” Nian Xi said angrily.

“The man came back after studying overseas. He was probably bought out by then.” Nian Qingyun sighed and shook his head. “Don’t worry about Jiang Yuning. I received news that someone will be rescuing him soon. His parents are renowned scientists and have plenty of connections. The standing of our country is different now, so they wouldn’t dare to be too brazen. They don’t have the guts to do anything too drastic.”

“Xi, do you fancy Jiang Yuning? You seem very concerned about him,” Murong Cheng said.
