Even though Chi Lei claimed that nothing really happened between her and Xu Zhengxuan, Mo Jin didn’t believe her. Back then, Xu Zhengxuan was very protective of Chu Lei.

He never took her, his wife, to any formal occasions, but took Chu Lei everywhere. They showed up together at all kinds of lectures and forums. However, to her surprise, Luosang was already pregnant.

“I’m sorry about that.” Nian Junting had no other choice but to apologize sincerely. “I’m not young anymore. I’m thirty years old already. Luosang is so much younger than me. I was afraid that I might lose her, so… But, please don’t worry. She’s already in the fourth year of her school. The fourth year is relatively easy. Many students spend that year doing interns.h.i.+ps. After she gives birth to the baby, I’ll hire nannies to take care of the baby and she’ll be able to do whatever she wants. In fact, I want her to have her own career too. She said that she wants to be a voice actress and I support her hundred percent.”

Mo Jin snorted coldly, “Xu Zhengxuan said the same thing to me, but look how that turned out…”

“He did?” Nian Junting knitted his brows. “I didn’t know Uncle Xu was that kind of person. Mom, we’ll only let you see our baby, not him.”

Mo Jin stayed silent. She just couldn’t resist it when someone was saying bad things about Xu Zhengxuan.

Nian Junting grasped the opportunity and said, “Mom, do you want to come with me and meet Luosang right now? Actually, Luosang misses you all the time. She knows what happened before, so she doesn’t blame you. You might not know that Uncle Xu had been telling her that you died. That’s why she didn’t know that you’re still alive. Earlier, she ran into your cla.s.smate, Feng Ge. That’s how she learned that you’re not dead, and that you were pregnant.”

Mo Jin exploded with anger. “When did I die! Xu Zhengxuan is such a shameless person! I risked my life to give birth to Luosang yet he kept her for himself. And then he actually tried to erase me from my daughter’s world! What a b*stard!”

Nian Junting felt a little helpless.

Because of that, he disapproved of Xu Zhengxuan more.

With some things, he couldn’t explain too much, in case Mo Jin disliked him. He could tell that Mo Jin had many misunderstandings about Xu Zhengxun.

After a short silence, Mo Jin asked worryingly, “Do you think that… Does Luosang really not hate me?”

Nian Junting nodded, “She never hated you. She believes that you did what you did for a reason.”

Mo Jin’s eyes reddened with excitement. After a while, she calmed down and said, “It’s too late today. I’m not going with you. Tomorrow, tomorrow morning, I’ll be there with Liuxi.”

“Okay,” Nian Junting nodded. “I’ll tell Luo about it.”

“Thank you.” Mo Jin’s lips quivered. Then she continued awkwardly, “Don’t misunderstand me. I do not think that you’re good enough already. My test for you will last a whole lifetime. I’ll see if you can be nice to her for her entire life, not just a year or two.”
