“As a witness, you only need to tell us yes or no,” An Lan interrupted him, “Mr. Yi, have your mother, Chu Lei, and Xu Zhengxuan known each other for a long time?”

He knew that Nian Junting must have done a background check, and that he would have evidence for this question. So, he responded with, “Yes.”

“Was there a personal issue or love-related problem between your mother and Xu Zhengxuan?”

“I refuse to answer this question. Let me repeat this again. I’m not a suspect. I am a witness. You have no right to question me like that.” Yi Jingxi said.

An Lan smiled, and continued with an aggressive tone. “Your mother was once Xu Zhengxuan’s student. She pursued Xu Zhengxuan. Back then, Mr. Xu was already married…”
