“I know, I won’t take offense,” Luosan smiled casually, Yan Su was looking at her too.

“That’s good, I just don’t want you to be hurt,” Ye Chuen remarked, “Oh right, I prepared evening gowns for all of you! They will be delivered tomorrow before lunch, remember to wear them at my birthday party!”

“Aw, that’s so sweet, Chuen. We really don’t have any formal gowns for the occasion,” Tang Ning chirped happily and hugged Chuen tightly.

“I’m counting on you to be my emcee, Luosan,” Chuen said as she prepared to shower.

Luosan picked up the hot water bottle and headed down, Yan Su picked hers up and followed behind her.

“Hey, you alright?”

“Huh?”

“What Chuen said earlier…”

“You know that I considered all those things before I started dating him. We only just started seeing each other, I’m just going to enjoy what we have now, I’ll worry about the rest later. Should I really decide to marry him and spend the rest of my life with him, I am willing to give Mount Everest a shot if he gives me his word.”

Luosan looked at her and continued, “How about you? Why didn’t you tell me that Chuen was the lead in the musical? That wasn’t nice of her; you guys are both in the same faculty after all. If you told me about it, I wouldn’t have agreed to host her birthday party.”

“Sometimes, it’s not that she is trying to overshadow me on purpose. The professors know who she is, they offered her the role without her asking. She’s going to release an alb.u.m soon too. If I get scouted now, we’ll both release our alb.u.ms at the same time, competing for sales. People would naturally compare us against one another, things might get much uglier then. I’m just glad I have you to look out for me.”
