Yi Jingxi tasted the foods, then said abruptly, “Your culinary skill has improved quite a lot.”

Lousang paused slightly, then gave a sarcastic smile in her heart.

She used to be a spoiled girl. She had a cook, so she never needed to cook for herself. However, later on, when she was all alone, she needed to learn everything. Fortunately, she was a good learner. She slowly figured out how to cook, and after spending a while with Sister Lan, her culinary skills advanced rapidly.

Yi Jingxi kicked the empty chair beside her and said, “Sit down and eat with me.”

“I’m good. I had lunch in the kitchen,” said Lousang flatly.

Yi Jingxi raised his head and said with a dark look, “Who gave you permission to eat the food there?”

Lousang remained silent for a short while, then took out five yuan from her trousers pocket, put it on the table, and said, “I only had some plain rice. I didn’t even touch the dishes. What I ate is worth no more than this. I’m paying you, alright?”

The disgust and hatred that suddenly appeared in her eyes made Yi Jingxi feel a dull pain in his heart. How could he possibly treat her so stingily? He was just mad at her because she wouldn’t eat together with him.

Thinking of her eating plain rice alone in the kitchen, Yi Jingxi felt his heart ache, so much so that he couldn’t even breathe.

As Yi Jingxi didn’t say anything, Luosang turned and left, saying, “I’m doing the cleaning now.”

“Make dinner earlier. I’m playing mahjong with my friends tonight. You’ll go = with me to serve us,” said Yi Jingxi with a deep voice.

Luosang frowned, turned back, and said alertly, “You’ll have people to serve you over there; why do you want me to go? You’re not planning to send me to your mahjong friends’ beds, are you?”

“What are you talking about?” Hearing that, Yi Jingxi’s eyes turned slightly red. He couldn’t believe that Luosang would think him as someone who would do that kind of thing.
