After reaching an agreement, Alex and Lin Xingzhi returned to their army but stopped fighting. Alex decided to stay in the rear while looking at the sky under a tree.

”What are you thinking, Boss?”

Suddenly, a female voice resounded in his ears as a familiar feeling rose in his heart. He definitely heard this voice, but he didn't remember there was someone who actually called him boss.

Curious about the identity of this female, he turned around and found a blind young girl walking with a smile.

”!!!” Alex widened his eyes before shaking his head helplessly. ”It turns out to be Aria.”

”Ehehe, I have come to Eulja since a year ago, you know.” Aria chuckled before bending her knees, sitting next to him. ”I have overused my Sword Eyes a bit, so I'm back here to recover. Alex let out a long sigh. ”Just ignore her.”

”I understand. I will tell her that you have given me permission to ignore her.” Aria repeatedly nodded with a smile. ”But I do say that Miss Anya has unique thinking. Although her style is not the same as you, I can see that she is really a master in terms of controlling things from the shadow.”

”Yeah. Just make sure you don't eat an aphrodisiac from her.” Alex smiled.

”Do you—” Aria realized something and coughed once before correcting her words. ”I guess that can happen.”

Alex shrugged. ”Anyway, I'm sure you have already known that our situation is not in the best position, right?”

”Yes, I know. However, I don't have the intention to run away. You know…I have been thinking this until now. Back when you saved me from that rapist, I thought to myself… If he truly raped me, even if I could kill him in the end, would I stay the same? Would I be able to love others or even my own family?

Alex looked at her and made a gentle smile. He stretched his hand and patted her head. ”Thank you. That means a lot to me.”

”I will do my best to become another strategist of Eulja.”

”Yeah, do your best. This is the perfect time for you to learn because Eulja has been passive for the past five thousand years. Make sure you learn everything.” Alex nodded.

Not knowing why, Alex understood that he needed to act first before thinking about the future since it didn't really matter at this point.

After regaining his calm, he suddenly asked Lin Xingzhi about the Void Flower.

”Eh? Are you sure?” Lin Xingzhi tilted her head.

”Yeah. It will probably take half a year for me, but this half a year will smoothen my journey. I mean, I need a huge amount of Spiritual Energy to complete just a single test, so if I refine the Void Flower right now, I can train twice as much.” Alex nodded with a serious expression.
