”You…” The middle-aged man looked at Alex while the woman checked on the young man.

The doubt in their eyes was so strong to the point a kid could even point that out. However, the prince he saved earlier immediately shouted. ”Stop! He saved me from the wolves that chased me. At the same time, help us in the earlier battle!”

The middle-aged man's body shook and immediately stood still, not daring to do anything to Alex.

He then faced Alex and bowed his head like a gentleman. ”Thank you for saving my life.”

”It's nothing. I was going to check what happened, but since you are here, it will be best if you can answer that question.” Alex nodded with a serious expression.

The two wanted to rebuke him again by not showing any respect to the prince, but the prince raised his hand, stopping them. He thought for a moment and began explaining. ”The situation is mysterious. At first, we noticed a large blue air swirling not far from our kingdom.

”Two days after that, it began summoning monsters from inside…Those wolves were the first ones to emerge from our place, and according to my father, the king, the weakest one is around Seven Circle Warrior or Mage.

The middle-aged man turned around to grab him, but Alex already ran until they couldn't see him anymore. At that time, he began flying to the city wall.

As one would expect, the battlefield was chaotic. To help the evacuation process, the soldiers fought outside the city, but it surely wouldn't last long.

Only those who had enough strength could fight against these wolves. The blazing fire began to spread, illuminating the darkness in this territory, but it made the dying soldiers even more visible.

Alex didn't participate in that battle. Although he could settle it by himself, it would garner too much attention.

He  simply sat down on the city wall and watched those people using their unique power to fight these people.

”I wonder what they are doing… That's indeed an array, but it looks different than a normal array. Besides, don't you think their speed to create an array is better than mine?” Alex muttered in doubt.

[I believe so. The main clue will be the giant pattern which is obviously the body of the array. The problem is we don't know what is inside the big pattern. If we know, solving the other problems wouldn't be that hard, I think.]

”Yes. But I can't really ask them about it, can't I?” Alex thought for a moment.

Lin Xingzhi seemed to find the answer first before him and replied.

[I have a solution. Why don't you go to a library? I think you will get enough knowledge to comprehend this power in the library. I don't know if the dark territory has a library, but even if they don't have one, we can visit the ruined Rawak Kingdom.]

Without wasting his time, he ignored the soldiers that kept fighting with their lives and headed straight to the library.

Because he didn't know where it was, he tried to see any special buildings that were built differently than that of a house or a store.

Unfortunately, he couldn't find a single building that had books. There was one last place he had yet to check, and he quickly went there.

It was none other than the castle. Due to the current situation, there weren't any soldiers that protected the castle because they were busy fighting. Alex sneaked around the castle with his Spirit Eyes to avoid any people that were still inside.

At the same time, he opened all rooms inside the castle, including the king chamber.

Surprisingly, there was a passage inside the room, leading to another place. Considering it wasn't opened, he thought it led to his personal stuff, so there was no hesitation in tearing the wall down with his finger.

It created a loud noise, but since there wasn't anyone here, he didn't need to worry about someone coming inside.

When he entered, there wasn't anything inside other than this path. But after one minute of walking, he finally reached the end of the corridor. To his surprise, there was another room inside, filled with books and treasures.

The left one had so many bookshelves, filled with books to the brim, while the other side had golds and such.

”This place must be his study room and his treasury. I don't know, but I think the king is greedy since he will always watch his treasure while studying something? In any case, I am glad to find books here.” Alex shook his head and continued his investigation.

He went to the table that was usually used to read and checked three books resting there.
