428 Teamwork (1/2)

A few minutes ago,

Anna was still fighting against the 7-Star Martial King. It was a bit hard to defeat him since, unlike the previous two, he had not lost his hand or something.

She just tried to make some kind of opening before heavily injuring him. Sadly, she could not. The least she could do was just to make wounds after wounds as to lower his power.

She had used her Tri Xeta, but every time she used it, the guy would block it no matter what. From the look of it, he was a bit scared of every technique she possessed.

”Dark-!” She raised her scythe, ready to swing it down. However, she suddenly noticed a powerful presence coming from her right.

She recognized this presence, this was not someone but a thing.

The guy in front of her immediately swung his sword to his left, trying to block a short sword. It was at this time, he suddenly lost his balance as he was overpowered by the short sword.

”!!!”

Anna immediately took this chance to attack him.

”Dark Cut!”

”Swing-! Not good! I won't make it.” He gritted his teeth and turned his body over. He barely avoided death, but Anna still got his right hand and right leg. At least, she managed to get the hand that was holding the sword.

”Kh!”

Anna then swung her scythe toward him, trying to stab it in his heart.

The man gritted his teeth as he grabbed his sword with his other hand and used it to parry Anna's attack. Even so, Anna used the height advantage and blasted him to the ground.

”Boom!”

”Dark Cut.” She once again sent her Dark Cut as the follow up before turning her head toward Jeanne and Fabio.

Their opponent was also heavily injured as there was a huge stab wound on his stomach and a charred left hand. They should be able to kill him in a jiffy, so they decided to help her.

Anna then appeared behind that guy, making it a 3v1 battle. She slashed his back with her scythe.

”Tri Xeta.”

She finally inflicted her Tri Xeta. The only ability that could restrict an opponent's power. Seeing Anna come over, Jeanne decided to throw the other Short Sword toward the guy on the ground.

”Ethereal Lightning Body Second Charge, Bullet.”

The guy on the ground only had a little strength left inside him. Even so, he kept trying to block this attack. Sadly, his effort was not rewarded as the Short Sword slipped out of his sword and pierced his head. She then came to retrieve her sword.

”Ifrit Spirit, Magma Claw!” Fabio also took this chance to attack the last guy. He sent a big fire claw, trying to make that person become molten lava.

The guy obviously did not want that, but when he tried to block this, he suddenly noticed that his reaction was too slow. He immediately retreated back.

”Gah!” Sadly, Fabio managed to still melt his other arm, and finally, Anna sent his head flying with her scythe.

This was a good strategy despite not going with the original plan. Because they had fought together for so long, adjusting in the battle like this was considered normal for them. So, this was not a big deal.

They then looked at Leoz and saw him injuring them pretty heavily, especially the one that had lost his hand.

”We are going to take that one hand guy together in an instant before going to the second one.”

”Alright.”

All of them immediately came to him.

”Dark Cut!” Anna used her Dark Cut and separated them

”Ifrit Spirit, Magma Wall!” Fabio made a fire wall and completely blocked them off.

”Ethereal Lightning Body First Charge, Spark.” A snake like lightning suddenly flew from Jeanne's hand toward the one arm guy.

”Don't underestimate me.” The one-arm guy roared and thrust his spear, completely breaking Jeanne's attack.

Anna only smiled as she raised her hand, ”Dark Curtain.”

The moment the Dark Curtain was up, it completely sealed the one arm guy's eyes. He was bewildered at that and tried to realize what happened. He instantly recognized there was something that was stopping him from seeing the light from his domain. He immediately sent an attack there, but he suddenly felt another attack coming toward him while breaking the Dark Curtain in its way.

”Mightiest Thrust!” He tried to destroy the attack like before, but suddenly, he felt something wrong. Even though the attack looked the same, the power was far too different from what he had before.

”Ethereal Lightning Spirit Second Charge, Bullet,” Jeanne smirked. She did not throw a single sword this time, but two. Because she threw it one after another, it looked like her 'First Charge' with that length.

The guy managed to deflect the first sword but was killed by the second sword. Fabio then retrieved her swords and gave it back to her.

They were trying to go to the last person before helping Honda Sana, but when they tried to do it, Anna saw Ryan trying to escape.

She immediately flew toward Leoz's opponent while shouting. ”Leoz, Jeanne. Go stop that bastard for me, I will handle this one.”

”!!!” When they heard that, they immediately turned their head. Leoz and Jeanne did not say anything and immediately tried to catch up with the old man.

”Do you think I will let you stop him?!” Leoz's opponent roared.

”You will, since you are going to die!” Anna swung her scythe as dark energy covered the blade. ”Tri Xeta!”

He snorted and immediately raised his hands. Both of his hands were covered with fire, and he was trying to blast Anna's scythe away.

”Flowing of infinity, Fire Guardian!” He made a fire shield that would explode as soon as Anna touched it with her weapon.

However, when Anna saw this, she only snorted. ”Puny fire.”
