They learned his identity as an Alchemist in his fight with Intan. And they found his other identity, which was Array Master when Maxwell appeared to fend off their enemy. If he did not use his sword or spear, it was normal for her to mistake him as Mount Hua Sect disciple.

But this was also a problem for them. After all, they knew they could not just accept this alliance and this marriage thing. They needed to ask Alex about it too, considering his master already gave them a rank 6 Array.

Even more so, Alexander's potential was monstrous. Just from his master alone, they could imagine him being a powerhouse in the future. They remembered when Alex said that his master could even kill Martial Emperors with ease. And when Maxwell truly appeared in front of them, they could imagine that.

There were a few possibilities if they decided to take this agreement. First, Alex might be chained down by something like this should he agree to accept Letizia as his wife. Second, Alex might not like it and left the sect.

If it were only leaving the sect and never came back, then it would be good since they could profit a rank 6 Array. But if he decided to come back to deal with them, there would not be any Heavenly Sword Sect again in the future.

They also could not kill him. It was the most foolish option to think of. If they decided to kill him, they would not even imagine how they could kill him. Alex might not be able to fight them currently, but he could just ask his Master to kill them like he killed the people from the Zhou Kingdom. Killing him was the same as asking Alex to kill them. It was not even an option.
