Chapter 4 - Dagger Arts (2/2)

Simzy: ty uwu, meet me at the Harbor Seafoods tomorrow 11:45 k?

I turn off my phone as I gasped for air.

Why do I feel like I just damn The protagonist to world full of suffering?

F.u.c.k... this is really annoying. I haven't even had any time to practice my abilities...

If I don't know how to fight, I will probably get kicked out of Haven...

Stupid Haven... why did I have to make this place the most elite of elite academies? Out of all the possible places, I end up here... never mind, this is still better than being dead.

'I hope that the training hall isn't too busy.'

I walked over to the wardrobe and pulled out a set Haven's training suit. The suit was made out of a flexible grey material similar to latex, that could even deflect a low caliber bullet. I put on the clothes after a 5 minute struggle, only to feel that it is very uncomfortable.

”Ugggghhh... this suit is definitely not something I'd wear by choice” I said as I went out of the room.

I am definitely sure that the training hall should be on the last left on this hallway. It would probably take me 10 minutes to walk there, so I guess I'll just run.

After 2 minutes of running, I arrived at the door to 5e training hall. The crystal clear glass double sliding door stood between me and my goal. I stepped through and entered the lobby. It was white and had nice and smooth black carpets. The room felt fresh and smelled like heaven.

”Sir, please submit your student ID” the receptionist spoke.

I grabbed my phone and waved it at what seemed to be a barcode scanner. It beeped and glowed green before the receptionist put away the barcode scanner.

”Simon Grey, you may now enter the training hall.”

I nodded, entering through a large silver door.

I ignored the useless white noise in the background, finding my way into a private training room. It like one of those dojo training rooms, it seemed so clean, even if people were bleeding and sweating in here at some point.

Nevertheless, I took a lone kris dagger from the wall, twirling it around with relative ease.

'Hmmm... I still haven't chosen an art to practice...'

An art is essentially the style of fighting that one abides by. Dagger arts had many variations, but only one could be called 'king'. The problem is art is very hard to practice. It requires absolute focus and a very high level of flexibility. Luckily I possessed abilities which I know are suited for this art.

This art is called 'Crimson Retribution Arts'. It is an extremely difficult art, which I briefly covered in my novel. The only problem is that I don't actually know the techniques,I only know the advantages and traits that the art gives. Furthermore, I know that a copy of the art was hidden by the chief of Haven in the far left training dummy. I wrote that only someone with the most accurate cutting technique and the most surgical stabbing moves could access this secret art.

Naturally I knew the exact spots that I needed to slash and stab. I just don't know whether I can cut deep enough and accurately, neither do I believe I can stab in the spots needed.

'Shit. I literally just want to tear this dummy to shreds.'

I held the kris dagger and pointed it towards the first spot that I wanted to stab.

CHINK

I stabbed right into the spot, hitting what seemed to be a metal button. I then continued to stab my dagger into all the other spots, completing the first part of the process.

'Phew! That was definitely much easier than expected.' I said to myself as I laughed.

I waved my dagger continuously at the dummy, slashing every single spot that I needed. Just like that, the dummy opened up.
