”finally,” thought jax as he made his way to a platform to take his award

”congratulations mr miller, no master callidus,” said his instructor as he smiled proudly while handing jax his new robes

”you've come far,” said a young man in a trainee outfit as he came up to congratulate him, jax had recently become acquainted with him.

”thank you,”Kaecilius said jax as he gave thanks and and went up to the podium to give thanks to the audience after rows of masters and trainees alike began applaud.

jax noticed the ancient one at a balcony at the far right corner of the hall holding a fan in her hands she gave him a nod of approval.

that night jax could not sleep, he had a lot of thoughts in his mind and was still a bit jumpy from the euphoria of his hard work bearing fruit, in the last two years he had taken several courses in the mystique arts and had visited double the amount of lectures, he had even been given a name by most of the teachers 'callidus ' which was latin for clever one. He had visited many masters to both debate with and ask questions, his ideas although at times fascinating were still in the boundaries of the laws they followed, however this facade kept jax safe during his stay in this place. Jax had made sure to stay as low as possible from the ancient one's radar, he did not yet plan to mess with her until he was sure of his preparations, a year ago he had began to make contact with his people and gave them an order to slowly start coming to karma taj they had each a liable backstory with evidence to show and each one of them continued their studies of magic and they steadily began to populate the place. although the ancient one was juiced up with a little of dormamu's power she was not all seeing, jax made the most of the blind spots he had found in areas around karma taj to leave and take care of his business.

”soon i'll get my hands on that book,” said jax with a smile as he lay down and closed his eyes

”master callidus, is this correct” said kaecilius as he came running to jax with a book in his hands, he had considered jax as he's mentor since coming to karma taj and was enthusiastic about his studies.

”how many time kaecilius,” said jax sternly

”for one to be a great mystique master one of the the most important essentials is one's mind, go have a rest” said jax with a smile as he pointed at phrase in K's book and circled it and turned to leave

”thank you,” said K with a happy smile as he left with his nose in a book

”hehehe,” snickered jax, he knew why kaecilius was here earlier than expected because he had contacted HQ and had them slaughter his family and had him watch it, it had broken him mentally which made memory conditioning pretty simple for those lab coats HQ, he found it slightly funny that kaecilius would find the murderer of his family his mentor.
