The silver lighter was spun around between the teenager’s fingers before it was gently put down. Jiang Heng’s long legs casually rested on a short chair and the neon light shone on his cold eyes, revealing a beautiful shadow.

“Is that so?” His voice was gentle and sounded attractive at night. He lazily said with a deep and hoarse voice, “All parents are the same. Don’t take it to heart.”

Yun Xia lay on the bed and hugged Jiang Heng’s blanket. Everywhere was filled with his scent and his deep and hoarse voice was heard not far away.

She adjusted the blanket and muttered out, “If you pity me, how about doing a multiple-choice question next time? Don’t score full marks all the time if not, I won’t be able to surpass you.”

The person on the sofa had not made a noise for a long time.

Yun Xia raised her head and looked towards him. She saw that slender figure and a fair hand dangling out of the sofa with defined lines on his hand.

Jiang Heng lazily opened his eyes before replying in a cold tone. “I don’t pity you.”

Yun Xia: “…”

She pouted and rolled up the blanket. She said nothing more.

The second day.

Mother Yun personally came to fetch Yun Xia and thanked Father Jiang profusely. She was apologetic that her daughter had troubled them and Father Jiang accepted her thanks with a warm smile.

Jiang Heng slowly walked down the stairs and nodded his head to Mother Yun. His white collar shirt was strictly buttoned up and his posture was tall and casual.

Father Jiang wanted Yun Xia to stay for breakfast but Mother Yun quickly rejected it as she was too embarrassed for Yun Xia to pose anymore trouble for their family.

When Jiang Heng called her yesterday, she had already wanted to look for Yun Xia yet after she picked up the call, she dazedly agreed for her daughter to stay with him.

She was out of her mind! How could she agree so steadfastly for her daughter to stay in another person’s house? Even if it was her childhood sweetheart’s house.

After Mother Yun thanked them again, she pulled her daughter and left.

Jiang Heng did not make her stay either and calmly sat at the dining table as he ate his breakfast and took a sip of milk.
