44 She is My Wife (1/2)

Both the brothers are too engrossed in their talk. Ryan has almost forgotten about Amy. He is brimming with happiness after a having a heartfelt conversation with his brother. Rex too had the same feeling. After expressing himself clearly to his brother, he felt that his heart's burden has lessened.

Amidst their talk, Rex noticed Amy. He suddenly remembered that his brother has not yet introduced her to him.

Pointing her out, he questioned Ryan.

”Bro..who is this?”

Rex is bit perplexed, cause this is the first time he has seen her brother with a young woman.

Hearing Rex's question, Ryan glanced Amy. He himself is shocked to have forgotten his wife. He looked apologtically at Amy, but Amy at present is fuming with anger.

She knew she guessed it right!!! Ryan doesn't even remember her till now.

Ryan averted his eyes. He doesn't want to be victim to his wife's anger.

Rex looked confused. His brother haven't answered to his question yet.

”Brother... Who is she? You're girlfriend?”

Rex is bit excited. He really thought that his brother has moved away from his past experiences.

But..Alas!! His happiness is short-lived as Amy's cold voice answered.

”No.. I'm just his assistant.”

A sudden calmness engulfed the room.

Ryan just stayed still. Amy's tone revealed that she is mad on him for ignoring her.The safest option right now is to remain quiet. He badly wants to introduce her as his wife. But he held back. His brother will definitely inform his father if he learned the truth.

But to his bad luck, Rex is a very good observer. Though both Amy and Ryan's faces are calm, Rex clearly noticed their subtle changes.

His suddenly suddenly brightened.

”Assistant?? What about Charles?”

”He is retiring. Amy is personally selected by him”. Ryan answered.

Hearing this, Amy got the urge to roll her eyes at Ryan.

”What selected by him. You literally forced him to select me!!” She scolded him in her mind.

Rex noticed her glare and his brother avoiding her eyes. He chuckled. He refused to believe that his brother doesn't have any relationship with that girl. There is no way his cold, aloof brother would select a young girl just because of Charles' recommendation.
